Hello all,
We've seen a number of people confused by the recent changes to the website.
The most notable change is in our passwords and how you reset or change them.
A few of the big changes:
- The Account System password was previously used to buy diamonds - Your game password is now used instead.
- The Account System password is now exclusively used on
https://account.frogster-america.com/ . Everywhere else now requires your game password.
- The Account System password is no longer used to change your game password.
Here's how to change your passwords:
To change your account system password (The password used to log in to
https://account.frogster-america.com/ ):
1. Go to
https://account.frogster-america.com/ and click the "Forgot your PW?" link in the top-right corner, near the "Login" button.
2. This will then ask you to put in your registered E-mail address, and a new password will be generated and sent to you.
To change your game and website password (Please note that you now use the same password for buying diamonds that you use to log into the game!):
1. Visit
http://us.runesofmagic.com/us/change-password.html
2. Log in with your E-mail address or account name and your game/website password.
3. Enter your current game password in the top field, then your new password in the lower two blank fields.
4. Clicking "Submit" will change your passwords.
If you do not know your current game and website password, and need to change it:
1. Visit
http://us.runesofmagic.com/us/forgot-password.html
2. Enter your registered E-mail address and then click "send".
3. Check your registered E-mail for a message from
noreply@runesofmagic.com , and be aware that the message may become trapped in your spam or junk mail folder.
4. Use the link in the E-mail - You may need to copy-paste it.
5. You should reach a page that tells you an e-mail has been sent.
6. Check your registered E-mail for a second message from
noreply@runesofmagic.com .
7. This second E-mail will contain a new game/website password.
8. Visit
http://us.runesofmagic.com/us/change-password.html
9. Log in with your E-mail address or account name and your game/website password (the one sent to you in the E-mail).
10. Enter your current game password (The one sent to you in the E-mail) in the top field, then your new password in the lower two blank fields.
11. Clicking "Submit" will change your passwords.
