No More Patience with Diamond Buying

Deep Breath...

My IE 8 would not show me the diamond buying screen...

A very helpful person here suggested I load and use Opera...

Did that...

Got to the diamond buyimg page...

Put in my info...

Next screen...

Moneybookers or some such company wants my email and my password...

Could have sworn I just did that... but did it again (again using the password I initially log in with)...

Nope... said it didn't match...

Tried again using the secondary password I use to get to my characters...

Nope... said it didn't match...

Tried again using the first one... thinking I didn't capitalize or maybe misspelled...

Nope... didn't match...

Tried once more using the secondary password... fourth try... thinking maybe I misspelled that one the first time...

Nope... no match...

WHAT FRIGGIN' PASSSWORD AM I SUPPOSED TO USE?!?!?

I like the game... but it is really beginning to be a pain in my... backside.

I have never seen a place where it was so hard to give them my money. If you folks don't want my patronage... just say so and I'll go back to BigFish... RuneScape... or heaven forbid... WoW. They had no problem taking my money.

BTW... just for craps and giggles... I went to the Moneybookers site thinking that maybe somewhere in history I had used them and put in for a lost password...

Nope... they have no record of my email address...

So... that ain't the problem.

Do I have to register with those folks??? Ya know... they leave a LOT of information out when you join this place.

So far I have had to change browsers... didn't know that was needed... and now I need to register with Moneybookers???

Isn't this all a kind of need to know criteria when joining???

1) Recharge diamond
2) Login with email/username and password
3) Select server
4) On the flash part of next screen it shows packages and payment methods. Depending on payment method, it wants more info (name, credit card info, paypal info, etc). It is done through Moneybookers, yes, but no login should be required.

Just tested it in Firefox/opera, no issues. No registration with Moneybookers, either. Sounds like ROM login is not passing info on your account to moneybookers (which they obviously need to know where to send the diamonds to). Is your ROM account properly set up or did you have issues? Also, is this the first time? I think there is extra step needed for first time buyers; that might be failing if you are a diamond virgin.

Well... I went to Moneybookers... registered...

Came back here... tried to buy diamonds... yes this is my first time... had no issues logging in this time... but I'm pretty sure it didn't go through.

I clicked the "Recharge Diamonds"... chose the server... put in my info... it sent me to a new screen where it wanted my debit card info AGAIN... put it in... didn't get a do not match but instead got a "Already have this card info" and... that's as far as we got. I did that three times.

If it went through... I got no confirmation page... no thank you for spending your money... nothing.

So... either I didn't buy any at all... or I spent three times as much as I wanted to spend or could afford to. I suppose I will have no idea for a few days as in another thread... a person wrote that their diamond purchase didn't show up and was tild that on credit card purchases... (I have debit... not credit... but I suppose they would be treated the same) they were told their diamonds wouldn't show up for a few days.

I know that somewhere in the RoM hierarchy... someones ears have exploded into flames. No one really wants to know the words I have spewed this past hour or so. I don't think even drunken sailors use that kind of language.

I don't have a blood pressure problem... but I'm pretty sure it's almost theough the roof at this point. I'm getting too old for this kind of crap.

I had no idea a little online game would cause this much trouble.

Well... on the bright side... I have a bunch of crap coming from Amazon to upgrade this computer. Ironically... it was to make playing this game more enjoyable.

I am not enjoying it this morning though.

There are few different payment options offered to you at checkout. You CHOSE Moneybrokers. They are company similar to Paypal. I used them myself few time (before I decided to switch to Ultimate Game Card and limit my purchases in that way) and had no problems. Their payments screens seem to be geared to the first time users of their system and it it not obvious that you can, instead of entering card information again, just login, select the already entered card and checkout.

As i said, you chose that payment method. Your grief is with MoneyBrokers interface, not with RoM. RoM offers other papment options too.

I had no issues joining... have played now for about three weeks.

And pray tell... what extra step do I need to do as a first time diamond buyer?

It seems that I have dotted all my i's... crossed all my t's... have jumped through all the hurdles... what ELSE do I have to do?

Considering that diamonds are such an important part of this game... if I cannot buy them, there is no reason to continue is there?

This game WAS so much fun... looked so promising... but if I have to rent common mounts that expire or run from place to place when I can afford something more permanent and always on hand... if armor drillers are required and I cannot buy them... it's a bit pointless, isn't it, to continue playing.

No... I did not choose Moneybookers... the game implied that was the method they used as that was the name and form that came up when I tried to buy the diamonds. I had no idea that company even existed until this morning when this game told me that Moneybookers was not recognizing my email and password.

Perhaps RoM needs to list payment methods and provide forms accordingly. I do not have PayPal... I do not have a gift certificate... I have a debit card... that is the box I chose. Seems funny that my card works everywhere else... Amazon... Gas Stations... Walmart... etc.

All I did was click the prper button... input information as it was asked and waited to see what happened next. I had no idea I could override the system and tell it what I wanted to do instead of it telling mr what I should do next. Where is the "I'll do what I want from where I want with what I want to do it with" button that everyone else seems to have?

So, when you select amount of diamonds you wish to buy, you do not see icons that let you select payment method. I see options: Paypal, CreditCard, MoneyBrers/Skrill, UlimateGameCard and Zeevex.

If you do not see these options, you might be in totally wrong place.

I clicked "Recharge Diamonds"...

It gave me a page to select the server... I chose my server...

It then gave me a page asking how many diamonds I wanted to buy... I selected an amount...

It asked me what method I wanted to use for payment... I selected the credit/debit card option...

It wanted my card information... I put that in....

THEN...

It gave me another screen asking again for my email and password... I had just done that on the previous page... but I did it again as it asked.

It told me that Moneybrookers did not recognize my email and password...

So I did it again... using my secondary password (the one I use to get to my characters) instead of my primary one that I used the first time (the one I use to log into the game).

I got the same message.

I entered my primary password again... paying attention to spelling and the capitalization (thinking I had made an erroe the first time) and got the same message... moneybookers did not recognize it)

I did it once more using my secondary password (again paying attention to spelling) and again got the same message that moneybookers did not recognize it.

So... I went to moneybookers... thinking perhaps through another site or game in my online history I may have used them and put my email address in and asked for a lost password... it has no idea who I was...

So... I registered... thinking I was going to come back here... go through the whole process... get to that one screen that so adamantly blocked my progress and everything would be fine.

I got to that one page... again it wanted my email and password... I entered it... then got this message that my card number was already on file.

And that's as far as I got. No more buttons to press... no more options... no comfirmation that a purchase had been made. Just them telling me that my card was already in their file.

Just for the hell of it... I'll try it one more lousy friggin time.

Maybe someone somewhere has done what needs doing... my info has been entered into their proper data bases and maybe I'll get lucky.

I don't drink... I wouldn't at this hour even if I did... but gosh darn it... I'm thinking about taking it up.

Ok, i got it now.

If you select CreditCard Payment, as you did, you are sent to MoneyBrokers where that payment is processed. As you already created account with MoneyBrokers, do NOT select that option.

Select Skrill/MoneyBrokers payment option. That will open new window.

On bottom of that window there is a link I already have a Moneybookers account". This is NOT RoM related account. This is your account with MoneyBrokers. Based on your post, you do have this account, so click the link. Enter email and password. You should be present with screen that will allow you to "add" or "choose a payment method". You card should be in this list.
