Ok, i got it now.

If you select CreditCard Payment, as you did, you are sent to MoneyBrokers where that payment is processed. As you already created account with MoneyBrokers, do NOT select that option.

Select Skrill/MoneyBrokers payment option. That will open new window.

On bottom of that window there is a link I already have a Moneybookers account". This is NOT RoM related account. This is your account with MoneyBrokers. Based on your post, you do have this account, so click the link. Enter email and password. You should be present with screen that will allow you to "add" or "choose a payment method". You card should be in this list.

Okay... I suppose one more time won't hurt... and it will be something I haven't tried yet...

Oh what fresh hell is this...

Now... are you ready for this? It keeps changing the expiration date to LAST YEAR on their form!!!

I'm looking right at ny card... I have used it ALL year... I used it this morning to buy RAM Upgrades from Amazon... I used it last month to pay my rent... My card says 01/13 yet each time I click the confirm... it throws it back with 01/12 and wants me to correct it which I do... to no avail.

I wonder which wall in this house will hurt less to bang my head against.

Hiya Chaotique, Please contact support for specialized assistance with this issue.

Wow... that's where you send me? Seriously? I have been there... three days ago when I was having problems with seeing the diamond buying screen. If that was any help... I wouldn't be crabbing on the forums.

I was looking for help. Not a brush off.

I can take a hint. You don't want to deal with folks like me... I rock the boat and make too much noise and have problems you don't have answers to. I get it. I won't post on this thread again.

Ok I tried going through the steps (which are also the steps you're using) as far as I could. Obviously, I'm not placing an actual payment at the moment, so I can't provide any help past the payment form stage. At any rate, these are the steps, so if an error comes up or there is an issue, use the support contact information I've provided. I know it's frustrating to have to go through a support service, but the forums are limited in terms of helping with payment issues. You need someone that can check your actual card information and check the process--we can't help you with that here. That's why Aetherth made that statement; it's not a brush off.

STEPS:
1. Login with game username + password.
2. Select server.
3. Ensure that the country on the "Get Diamonds Now" interface says "United States of America." If you're not from the US, you can change this to the appropriate country now.
4. Select amount of diamonds for purchase.
5. Select payment method (Paypal, credit card*, Moneybookers, Ultimate Game Card, Rixty, or Zeevex).
*Supports VISA, Mastercard, and American Express; works for both credit and debit cards.
6. Confirm your order by clicking "Buy Now." If you are dissatisfied with your order, make any changes and then click "Buy Now."
7. If you have selected credit card, allow the next page of the interface to load. Fill out the form. Click "Confirm and Pay." Note that this service is provided through Moneybookers. If any errors occur at this stage, it may be necessary to contact Support at Moneybookers, not Runes of Magic (us-service@moneybookers.com or +1.800.238.9984).
8. Once your order has been confirmed through this form, you have made a payment. Remember that once you have made your purchase, it may take up to a few hours for the transaction to go through (since there are other companies involved besides Runes of Magic). Keep an eye on the transaction history on your card to ensure that the proper amount is deducted. If any issues arise in the transaction phase, contact Runes of Magic support via their portal: http://support.frogster-online.com. If you've never used support, you can check the FAQs page here: http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=65805

Note that at Step 7, I've recommending contacting Moneybookers instead of Runes of Magic. This is because, from reading your posts, it sounds like there is an issue between your card and Moneybookers. Before anything goes through to Runes of Magic, it's going through your bank and Moneybookers first. Therefore, I feel there is a good chance that if you email or call Moneybookers, they will be able to help you out. Plus, you will probably get faster service. Probably. ^^;

Deep Breath...

My IE 8 would not show me the diamond buying screen...

A very helpful person here suggested I load and use Opera...

<that was me>

Did that...

Got to the diamond buyimg page...

Put in my info...

Next screen...

Moneybookers or some such company wants my email and my password...

<some snippage>

WHAT FRIGGIN' PASSSWORD AM I SUPPOSED TO USE?!?!?

I've inquired into this issue a bit. Firstly, when using a debit card to buy diamonds, you need to click on the "Credit Card" button. This presumes that you're using either a Visa or Mastercard debit card, and not one issued by an independent bank or credit union. You should not need to click on the Skrill/Moneybookers button.

The password that you initially enter when at the Recharge Diamonds login screen needs to be your game account password, not your forum account password, unless they are the same--most are.

Now, it's been a long time and probably six different billing systems back when I first bought diamonds. This was back in the Bad Old Days when PayPal and credit card diamonds were "locked" to an account and couldn't be used for gifting purposes. ("Gifting" meaning sending IS products to other players or toons on an alt account.) So, I am not sure what other gymnastics a new diamond buyer might have to go through.

But, and I say this with the above reservations, you should be able to poke the Credit Card button and buy your diamonds that way, using a debit card.

Please try this and let us know if it does or does not work for you.

I said I wasn't going to post again and usually I am a woman of my word... but you raised an issue that may BE the issue.

I DO live in the USA by the way. Toledo... Ohio... Do yourself a favor... never ever live here. Not if you value your sanity.

And my debit card is Visa.

But um... what's this about Credit Unions??? Is THAT my problem??? My Bank?

I know I have been sarcastic... beligerent... obstinate... and I really ought to apologize for that to those folks who have been on the revceiving end... so... I'm sorry folks... but darn it... I just spent $100 at Amazon just to upgrade my computer to play this game... I'd love nothing better than to drop another $50 here... it's not like I don't have the money... it's not like I'm charging this to a credit card that is maxed to the hilt. My harshness is fueled by nothing but hours of frustration.

Paypal... years ago in WA my account was hacked. I get here six years ago reapply... actually used it a few times on eBay and now it seems even though I have no issues in the Resolution Center... Have never made a late payment on anything I have bid on... I can't use that. Tried to find out why... and good lord... I think Peggy works there. Nothing I looked at or searched in or typed in gave me any answers.

Moneybookers... won't even let me input my debit card information. They let me open an account... but won't let me add my debit card to their site. When I add the info for them on here... they insist on changing my expiration date to 01/12 when it is 01/13 and then they ask me to change it which of course results in them changing it back. ??? I tried to just delete this now useless account (why have it if I can't use it?)... guess what... there's no way to do that. Not even Google can find me a way to do that.

Looked into that Ultimate Game Card saw they sell it at Walmart... cool... I was all ready to go out and get one... but it seems from what I can gather online... they only go to $25. I don't want JUST $25... I want that deal that goes with the $50 purchase.

So... my whole problem is my Credit Union???

Both Credit Card and Moneybrokers buttons go to MoneyBrokers website, where you get present you with different forms depending which button you clicked. Credit Card form does not have option to enter user name and password and after you submit it, MoneyBrokers will ask you to create new account. In case that you already have an account you can get stuck. That is when it is better to use Moneybrokers option. That way you can, right from the start, use existing or create new account.

As RoM website embeds some of these forms in frames, some people might not realize that those are unrelated sites with unrelated accounts.

I still stand by what I said about contacting moneybookers. At this rate, might as well just place a call to their customer service line and ask them why their form is being obstinate in regards to your debit card.

In regards to your concern about credit unions... The best debit cards that work for everything are the ones through a major company (like Visa, as yours is) and connected to a legitimate bank (Bank of America for example). This is the kind of debit card that most companies and stores assume you use.
However, I and many of my friends have debit cards that are NOT connected to a major bank. My friends and I go through credit unions or traveling cards (debit cards that can be used internationally through a travel service company). We do this because we don't get any hidden fees or charges, but those cards are NOT reliable. A lot of internet sites do not accept this kind of debit card because they are not recognized as such. My college doesn't accept my debit card as a form of collateral either. If your card is like that, it could be the culprit. However, it's still an issue you need to discuss with Moneybookers if you are intent on using your debit card for purchasing.

And you raised another issue...

Are the diamonds I buy stuck on one toon? Do I have to buy each toon diamonds? That would really suck.

I suppose after all this that a pre-paid Visa card wouldn't work either... like... I can't go to Walmart... get one of those off the rack cards... charge it with money and use it here.

Man... your folks in accounting need to tweak their stuff. They're gonna be missing out on a ton of money if they get too picky about where their money comes from. When a person is doing their best to give them $50 bucks (and probably more later) and they make it impossible... that is not good business.

I have one more avenue. My housemate has a Paypal account. Maybe I can talk him into using it here and just pay him the cash. I wonder how that is gonna work though when it's HIS name on the Paypal going into MY account here.

May I first say this game is not worth spending 50 dollars on anymore.

I just want mounts, breeding slots and drillers... that's about all... oh yeah... and I made my toons way too tall I need to shorten two of them just a tad. Maybe later down the road I might want something else... but for now... I just need permanent mounts. I don't want to get out in the middle of nowhere and have my mount poof on me.

And here my mother swore by credit unions. Told me they were the way to go all those years ago. I used Fifth Third for a while but hated that one. My friend back west uses Bank of America but doen't like them. Up til just now... I really haven't had a problem. Heck... Runescape, BigFish, Netflix and WoW certainly had no issues with my bank. I never thought it was a problem until now.

I would recommend Zeevex cards. I know for a fact most 7-11s in the USA carry them and the cards usually range from $2 ~ $400.

You can set up an account with Zeevex and you will get Adventure Packs as a bonus but a few less diamonds with your purchase vs Ultimate Game Card. If you decide to use Zeevex cards then make sure to buy the lowest dollar amount card till you reach the amount you want to spend. So say if you want to buy $50 USD worth then purchase 10 $5 USD cards...this way you will receive 10 Adventure Packs ( you can see what is included in these on the Cash Shop Page ingame under the tab labeled Packages ).

We have 7-11's here... so... do I buy the card for the amount I want and when I need to... recharge the card through their site?

Since you have a Visa debit card issued through your credit union, it's not an issue. The comment about small banks and small credit unions concerned debit cards issued by them that are not labeled either "Visa" or "Mastercard". They do exist out in the hinterlands.

Ultimate Game Cards (UGC) "stack"--you can redeem more than one card at a time after you've chosen the diamond package you want to buy. You're sent to the UGC website to do this. But be aware that there are a couple of diamond packages that can not be purchased using UGCs.

No. Diamonds purchased on a specific game account and game server, for example, the Reni server, can be used by any toon on that account and on that server. If you have characters on that account but also on different servers, only the characters on the server where the diamonds were placed can use those diamonds.

I suppose after all this that a pre-paid Visa card wouldn't work either... like... I can't go to Walmart... get one of those off the rack cards... charge it with money and use it here.

Pre-paid credit cards are not accepted by our billing system. Avoid trying to use them.

The current billing system is actually a major improvement over past ones, and is far more flexible than Some People here are willing to either admit or believe.

I would recommend against having your housemate try to use his PayPal account to pay for diamonds for your game account/server. That's a can of snakes that you don't really want to open, as it can bite you on the behind. Truth.

If you have not yet tried the suggestion I proposed earlier--purchasing a diamond package with your debit card by poking the Credit Card button, please do try it and let me know if it works for you.

When you go to 7-11 they should have cards and each card you can choose the amount to put on it....if you do use Zeevex which IMO is the best way to purchase diamonds then make sure to break up the total amount you want to purchase into different cards so you receive more bonus Adventure Packs.

You will basically recharge your Zeevex account with Zeevex Tokens. It is an exchange of 1 penny per Zeevex Token.

But make sure to break your total purschasing amount into the smallest amounts allowed so you receive more bonus items from Zeevex.

So say you plan on purchasing a 50 dollar amount then make sure to get 10 5dollar cards that way you will receive 10 bonus items instead of just one for one purchase....amount does not determine the number of bonus items you receive just the number of Codes ( Cards ) you purchase.

Zeevex from my experience knows how to treat their customers right.

Lets be honest here your credit card payment option DOES NOT WORK, HAS NEVER WORKED and every story I have exchanged with other players stated that when they did use this option it took days to receive their diamonds, and always resorted in having to contact support to get the purchase corrected.

I am not going to argue with you. What I will do is reiterate that the credit card payment system does work. I have used it a number of times myself, both before and after the current payment system was put into place. I pay for my diamonds using a credit card and receive them almost immediately. If I don't see them show up on my account while I'm in-game, I relog and, *BAM*, they are there. Your experiences are your own and may almost certainly vary.

But kindly do not come in here and make baldfaced statements which are patently untrue.

For at least the fifteenth time today... I "poked" the credit card button... and for the fifteenth time today I was taken to the moneybookers sign in and for the fifteenth today it didn't work.

Walmart did not have the "Ultimate Game Card" nor have they ever heard of it and it wasn't among the game cards they had in their collection of game cards... And this was from the geeks back in the Electronics department... and yes they were geeks... I asked.

We don't have 7-11's close to the house... we have circle K's... 7-11's are apparently on the bad side of town and the housemate did not want to go there. He stated bullet proof vests were required.

You were right... pre-paid credit cards do not work even though I could have my checks directly deposited to it and it clearly states that it can be used whereever cards can be swiped and even mentioned using it for games... which is why I bought one.

I noticed "FastCards" listed as acceptable... however... when I asked about those... all I got was a blank stare.

As a last ditch effort... I am going to try to "gift" the money to my housemates Paypal account from the card I purchased and see if he can use his Paypal Card here.

I have no idea how other folks get diamonds. Now I understand why folks are always wanting to buy them in game. They have obviously run into the same brick walls that I have. Maybe your system has made mega improvements... but I don't know about those... I have experienced only these... and to tell you the truth... I am not at all impressed.

On the bright side... in a week... I will have a power house of a computer...

Fastcards are Runes of Magic Giftcards - they've got the Runes of Magic logo on the front of the card. (Most people will not know them by the "Fastcard" name.)

You can also find other gamecards at many places. https://www.zeevex.com/retailers

Ultimate Game Cards can be obtained in several ways, including directly from the issuer of the cards, Playspan (www.playspan.com).

It appears that Playspan has a promotional sale going on as well, as of the time I'm writing this post. http://store.playspan.com/25-ultimate-ga…ted-time-deal-3

You can also find physical retailers for Ultimate Game Card here - there's a large enough list that I'm just going to post the link: http://ultimategamecard.playspan.com/?_k…CFcsHRQodOjoA7Q

I use Zeevex, every Walgreens, CVS, or Toys R Us anywhere near me has em. If i don't feel like going to the store, I use PayPal. I've never had any issues with either option, diamonds were deposited within 10 minutes of ordering.
