Reni Down?

Is Reni Down? I cannot log onto Reni, I can get on Artemis. I've restarted computer and reset router. So what's going on?

No error msg. When I click Reni and hit confirm. Says "Connecting to server", nothing happens. Its like its stuck there. When I try Artemis I connect immediately.

Got some more information from you in PM. This might be an issue of "Stuck character" if you and your GL have the same issue. The zone you two are in might be vital information. From this guess on out, we do have a server maintenance incoming, which might fix this issue for you. However I would like to encourage you to contact our support for further assistance, teleporting your characters might do the trick.

Nope, I can't connect to Reni either. Returned to character selection screen on Reni, but couldn't enter with any of my characters. Swapped to Artemis, enter game with no problem. Swapped back to Reni, can't enter with any toons. Logged out of game, and back in, I get character selection screen, but can't enter game.

Oh, and this is with any of my characters. Some where just standing in their house.

Ok, to bring this thread back to the original topic......

I was having the same problem yesterday with not being able to get my main into the game. I have some info on the possible problem:

My main (also my only) character was in Limo Desert on Reni server when I logged out the night prior. When I tried to log in I could only make it to the character selection screen but after I verified my secondary password, I could click on the button to enter the world as many times I wanted but nothing would happen.

I then created a new character and tried to enter the world but could not. I switched servers and could create new characters and enter the world. This is where it gets tricky....

I restarted the game and went back to the character selection screen and tried to enter Reni using the newly created character and this time it would let me in. I then logged out and tried to enter on my main but still could not get in. Then I tried to enter on the new character and this time I could not. It seems that once I tried to enter using my main, it screwed up the login for all characters on that server.

Eventually, I moved all of my character data out of the data folder and was able to log in on my main...BUT...after I got my main out of Limo Desert, I logged out and moved my character data back to the original folder. I was then able to log back in normally and move around play for well over an hour before I went back to Limo Desert at which point no spawnables (NPCs) were present.

I logged out and found that I was not able to log back in on my main again. I repeated the process of moving data around and was able to correct the problem. It seems to me that there is something rotten in the state of Limo Desert....

I hope this helps.

This is a sign of corrupt character data or a corrupt installation.

I'd recommend deleting the character data folder that you are moving to log back in, and possibly reinstalling the game if this does not fix the issue for you.
