RoM Client will NOT pull up... Help!

I decided to download Runes of Magic (newest version is with Patch 6.0.0) on my laptop, but I cannot seem to pull up the game client. :(

When the download first completed, the client pulled up to the half-screen 'Play Now' page and ran additional updates/downloads. When it finished I was able to get into the game, but now on a second try (after completely closing out RoM) I cannot even pull up the game client.

During my first attempt, I had to pull up the Gameforge Live program, go to games, and then select RoM. The client pulled up and I was able to hit Play Now and get in game. I tried this again and nothing comes up-no Gameforge or RoM page.

My computer is compatible with this game and my wi-fi is in check. Can anyone help with a solution? Please and thank you!

First, especially if you haven't tried this already, shut down and restart your laptop (instead of leaving it in hibernate mode).

If there is no Runes of Magic launcher icon on your Desktop, open Explorer and navigate to the Runes of Magic folder in C:\Program Files (or C:\Program Files(x86) for 64-bit Windows). Find the file named "Runes of Magic.exe", drag it to your Desktop and create a Shortcut there. You will no longer have to use the Gameforge Live launcher in order to play RoM.

Additionally, you should be able to go into Control Panel and use Programs and Features to uninstall the GFL launcher. Doing so will not uninstall Runes of Magic.

also, i find that right after a crash, the next time you try to launch RoM, it will get stuck on "launcher.exe" and never continue to the actual game...if that happens, i just used task manager to end process, and start the game up again, and it works immediately...
