Account or password error

I am a first time player. I created an account last week and attempted to play but got a "Account or password error" message. I am able to login to the site with no problem. I made a support ticket #12376800. It has been five days and no response. :(

did you register on runesofmagic.us or runesofmagic.eu?
when i first registered i was on eu page so i had an eu account.
try to login on eu and see if this is the problem.
when game boots up change region to eu and see.

Check your Region/Language settings on the launcher.

If you made your account on the US site, you will only be able to log into the US servers.
If you made your account on the EU site, you will only be able to log into the EU servers.

If you want to play on the other servers, you will need to re-register on the appropriate site:
US = http://us.runesofmagic.com/us/free-mmo/register.html
EU = http://www.runesofmagic.com/en/free-mmo/register.html

I checked to make sure I was set to US region. I can login to the us region site but not the game. I also attempted to login to the EU region from the launcher but got the same error.

The website uses your email address to log in but the game client will only use your account name - are you using the account name?

If you have a US forum and game account and want to log in to the EU game, you must go to the EU website (http://www.runesofmagic.com/en/home.html) to create a new forum and game account there. You should be able to use the same forum and game account name, though I've found that using a different forum name and email address works better for me. You do not have to download a separate game client--you can switch regions on your existing client installation.
