Addons Interface Folder

I'm not even going to bother with the cluster that is now the new installation under Gameforge although this seems to be at the crux of the problem I'm now experiencing.

I had to do a full reinstall and, as I always have done, saved my Addons folder into my documents folder. I initiated my curse.com and added one (1) addon to prompt the creation of the Interface and Addons folders in the main RoM folder now living as a sub-folder under Gameforge's Games folder. Yeah, well, it used to work that way! And, yes, of course I told Curse where to find the folder!

So, how am I supposed to get this stupid thing to create its Interface folder now? You should know that I, like a few thousand other windows users, am totally prevented from creating new folders manually. I need the interface to work, please, as it always has in the past.

So, what is the solution?

At this point, after 6 tries and 3 hours of trying to get the game reinstalled, I'm about to take my money elsewhere if there's one more issue!

Whut? Since when is folder creation under windows a function reserved to high priesthood?

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

Um, lol? Just manually create the folder.. it's really not that difficult! Right click.. new.. folder. Tada. There's nothing about being a windows user that means you can't create a new folder..

win7 maybe?

default install path of the gameforge live thing puts it within Program Files x86 ... and some stuff needs admin rights within that part of the directory tree.

Oh i don't know maybe. Still shouldn't be that hard to get the folder created though... the default install path of the game has always put it in Program Files x86 and i've never had an issue on Windows 7.

Hmm, yeah, I don't understand at all why the op is having an issue with this. Other than he is using a third party program (curse) to alter his file structure.

Actually, that is probably the problem right there. Does your Curse client know that GF changed the file structure on installation? I'm gonna guess not. Never liked that durn curse client anyways. Just install your add-ons manually, it's really very simple. Just unpack the add-on, tehn drag and drop into add-on folder (that you created in Interface Folder).

if he is trying to create a folder and getting a "permission denied" error message its definitely a rights issue. but we need more info for that

If the user is trying to install this game on a work machine, well... there are ethical concerns here.

Why do I bring up a work machine? because if the OP owns this pc/laptop, s/he should be able to make folders pretty much anywhere.

OP, just so you know... this is NOT a RoM issue. It's an issue w/ your pc/laptop.
