Found My Character Need My Email

Hey guys, sorry for the confusing post earlier.

I found my character and was able to login to the client (it was in a completely different account) , but i forgot which email I tied the account to. I know this is a mess, but I cant change my passwords, login to the website, or contact support without the proper email. Is there a way to find out which email is tied to my account without having to login to the website? Will provide info as needed.

Hi again,

As per my previous reply, register a support account. But since you are not sure which email address is attached to said account, use another email address and mention in the ticket you submit your reason for doing so.
As stated before, there is not much we can do for you here on the forums when it relates to account issues, you need to contact support.

Why not? Just stick your account name & password that you use to log in to the game & you're in!

To login to the website, I need the email, it won't accept the username that I enter for the client. I'm taking Berens advice and making a support ticket now.

Yeah, they added "class="validate[required,custom[email]" to username, so now it won't take account name. It is silly and should be disabled on login, only on registration.

Likewise, they added a validate to password. It it class="validate[required,minSize[8]]", so I can't log in either, at least not without changing my password to be 8 characters, which it now isn't. I know, it is separate issue from OPs, but it might bite him too since his account is similarly old.

i have the same issue...it's idiotic...i also have had this problem every time they change the account/PW restrictions, as mine always seems to not fulfill the new requirements, some accounts i am simply locked out of, because i don't use them, nor do i feel the need to deal with the mess that is support...

me: i need to change the associated email, but my password does not work...
Support: ok, you just type in your username and password.
me: my PW doesn't work...
support: you need to use your password to change this in the account maintenance menu.
me: it will not accept my fking password...
support: to change your password, log in to your account, and go to account maintenance....
me: ...
my r/p can outdps r/m. your name is stupid.

mages should stack dex. word.

If you press the login button on the website and press the "forgot password" button, input your email address and a temp password that meets the requirements will be generated sent to that email. You can use that password to login to the website. The problem for me is, I don't know my email, and there is not a way to recover it. I do know my password though.[/email]

Aw, crap - one of my accounts can't log in & likely it's for this reason.

Problem is, to change the password, I likely need to log in with the old one first... :(

I obviously don't know how to work the quoting on this forum, but if you are having trouble with your password, I posted above a fix. You need to know your email, click the forgot password button to recover it, you will be sent a generated temp password that you can use to login, and change your password to something new. My problem is I don't know my email, and there is not a recover email button.

Yeah... I was just saying that if once you reset your email, there might be second problem. Depends on how you set it up.

Here is the annoying part of this "login with email" restriction - there used to be a way to have multiple ROM game accounts on same Frogster account, and legalese said you are allowed up to 5. Frogster (now GF) account is associated with email, so all 5 ROM accounts have same email. So, what happens when I ask for password change? Will I get 5 emails for each ROM account? Probably not. And even if I do, I can't log into those accounts with email, since there are 5 of them on same email.

If you have a single ROM account on that Frogster/GF account, you are OK on that front. You just need to get them to change email. How they are going to do it, I have no idea. They will need some kind of verification that does not involve email.

Good luck. In my experience, support has problems when deviating from their scripts on problem solving. They can do routine tasks for which procedures are clear. Any deviation and it is like... :dash: :dash: :dash:

You will have to go through the same procedure as "my email address is not working anymore" after some verification that your account is actually your account because you started the ticket from a different mail, you should be getting it working. so yes there is a procedure for problems like this. Don't worry.
