You may have signed up at Runesofmagic.com instead of Runesofmagic.us.
try putting the games region(located on launch window) to E.U. and see if you can log in there.
if this is the case you will need to Register at http://us.runesofmagic.gameforge.com/news/index.

is it possible that even though you registered on the correct site, your RoM client launcher could be set to the wrong country?

karmakarma has the most common cause of the issue - check your launcher region is set to the same country you registered to play in.

Another issue that springs to mind is that the website uses your email address to log in but the game uses your account name.

Hello, I'm actually having the same problem. I downloaded the client, am registered to the runesofmagic.us site, have made sure that my game client launcher is set for USA and I can't log.
Here's what I have tried:
Launching the client as UK (as it was originally set it) and logging in using my account name first, then email. Was unable to log.
Launching the client as USA and logging in again using account name, then email. Still unable to log.
Changing my password through the website and logging on using both methods. No luck
Logging on using my forum password just to be safe and still unable to log.

I'm running out of ideas to try and I can't figure out how to log. I'm starting to feel stupid to be honest so can someone spell it out to me in every step because I feel like I'm not understanding something.

Did you click the activation link in the email sent to you? If so, what domain did that email start with?

i am having the exact same problem. not letting me log in no matter what i do:/ help please?

NVM i got it. just make sure the client itself has the same area. before you press play hit the region / language and change it to yours.

I am having the exact same problem as others.

The registration email I was sent, was from 'us'.runesofmagic blah, and Im using the right login name and password that I just created and was accepted, yet the game isn't taking it as valid input. I know the 'region' is US because I just set it, though originally it was showing EU, which is flat wrong, given the email address sent to me as noted , was 'US'.



What's going on here ?



NVM I got it,,no idea why, but , even though my password HAD to be 12 characters, where I know I put a '2' on the end to get to 12, the password slot during login would not take it, so I had to leave off the '2', and I made it in. WEIRd ?
