ever since the halloween patch, its been 2 weeks of glitches bugs and all

so i have to agree with some people who claim its the fault of the halloween festival,

if i remember correctly, when frogster used to run rom, they had disable the event to 1 ch only and it seem to work fine,

just remove the halloween festival and let rom be its boring self until the next festival event or something, or we can all have just one channel cause the population is so damn low anyways it doesnt really make a huge difference :wbb: :wbb: :wbb:

You guys haven't been paying attention. Since it doesn't cause the same universal problems on all servers, it clearly isn't the festival that is at fault for all these bugs. There is some other error that has been occurring since the pumpkin festival went live again this year, but it can't be the festival itself. I mean, clearly that just isn't logical, come on guys.

The issues with the festival are not new issues they are the same issues that happen every year when they start this event. They appear every year (not just this year or last year) when the festival is started. They also disappear as soon as they dump the festival and go on to the next one. This is a broken event. It has been since it first started long ago but every year when the stop it they just put it away and make no effort to fix it and just roll out the same broken event a year later and all the problems return.
The thought that it is something else in the latest patch not the means that every year someone makes the same mistake in a patch exactly at the same time the event starts. It also means that some one corrects the mistake every year at the exact same time that the event ends. That is just absurd.

This. Is simply wrong.

The events from the festival do have bugs. And old ones. Which were only fixed partly or not at all, unfortunately* . But this only affects the events itself, and maybe the spawn of cow beetles in Silverspring. That's it.

'*[Which is actually being worked on as we speak - but that's a different story, let's just say I didn't ask for as much input about it as possible in the guide thread for nothing - but it remains to be seen if and when we will see the results of it]

This event does not break the servers and is not the cause for the current issues that make zones close down or servers unavailable. period.

How is it wrong? Enter new festival Enter Massive Problems? You yourself just stated that some of the bugs have not been addressed to date.

Maybe they are not the exact same issues but it sure has been extremely co-incidental that major issues arise each festival, this one in particular has a reputation of causing major issues ( Server Shut Downs, House and Guild Issues, log in issues...etc,etc ).

What is so hard about admitting that your festivals need a lot of TLC in order to function as intended. Not just this festival but every one of them....I do like these festivals they grant a lot of good items and bonuses. Like the ghost activity if you do well enough grants 100k TP food, who is gonna argue about that no matter your level you can always use 100k TP.

Can't you just hire your own developers to fix the code? Instead of relying on Runewaker, they have proven beyond a doubt that they are not reliable or maybe they are just incompetent I don't know but since they are now also partnered up with a big boy such as Sony one may assume that they are competent thus just not worried nor concerned about this Product anymore. So Please just hire your Coders and let them fix the issues.

Personally I think Gameforge has shown a tremendous amount of improvement on fixing issues as best they can.

From what was posted in Technical Announcements, we are being targeted by a DDoS attack. yay. 'cause RoM is such a large community that deserves to be attacked... I think we've had a LOT of network issues ever since we were moved down to Florida.. what other websites are hosted by the hoster in Florida???
