Cannot finish todays Patch

I have 2 computers that I run ROM on. One patched the maintenance fine, and I can log in with no issues. The other gets to about 99% and I get an error message that says "Windows cannot find 'patch_6.0.3.2669.en_6.0.3.2672.en.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again."

I have no clue what this means, or how I can fix it. I have been playing ROM for years now, and have never had an issue patching the game. I play on a US server and my "region" is set to US.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Can Not Finish Patch

I get the same error code (windows can not find 'patch_6.0.3.2669.en_6.0.3.2672.en.exe' make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.) and I am trapped at 80%. Have another player in house on a different pc and he getting the same error. Hope you guys can fix it soon. Thanks!

Cannot Finish patch 6.0.3.2669.en_6.0.3.2672.en.exe'.

I am getting the exact same message. I am also stuck at 82% and the message pops ups and I cannot finish. Hope it gets corrected soon as well ;(

As we know, the RoM patcher & updater is prone to interference from anti-virus, firewall and other security softwares.
(It's not just RoM either and all software updates always come with a recommendation to disable security software too.)

If you have errors during patching, try again with all security softwares turned off, let it update and then re-enable your software perhaps also taking time to run a security scan just for peace of mind.

If the problem persists, you should try the manual download link provided in the post above.

Well i closed my clients and started dowloading and got the message, waited and check my windows manager to find out that 2 clients were still there running. closed them down from there manually and download was fine.

Sometimes the clients, even if you close them from the game, takes a while to totally go away, wait a few minutes before re-opening to get the patch. It worked for me ;-)

As soon as I saw your post I nearly gave myself a headache facepalming, then rebooted my comp :P



I'm glad this topic was up - didn't see one about maint itself - when I first saw the error I was starting to think mebe maint wasn't actually over yet and I was trying to patch too soon or something.

Since I had the same problem myself (yes, we are not immune to those problems :D) earlier: Check that clientupdate.exe is not running anymore after closing the client when the patch failed. just kill it in the taskmanager. After that it patched fine.

For those where this did not help, using the manual download worked. You can either start the file then after copying it into the base folder of your RoM installation, or just let the normal patcher handle the rest, it will find the file and notice that it does not need to download anything anymore.
