Lag?!?

Seriously, WTF did you guys do today? I logged in after work and was fine for 2 hours, then about an hour before the 8pmest SW, the game just lags to hell. It normally takes me 8mins to run gobs, I ran it today, lagged out so much I had 30secs left at the end. I hit a buff it takes 3-4 mins to cast. I run up to a mob, attack it and lag out, 3-4mins later I finally do something and my hps are 25% of max because I have 5 mobs on me now.

Why not try and actually FIX the memory leaks/ lag/ crashing/ instability with this game before you go adding new content. If its brojke and you just keep piling more memory intense data on top of it without fixing the original issues, you really think its going to miraculousy run smoothe? This game ran much smoother(stability wise) when Frogster ran it, WTF did you guys at Gamefore do to crap it up so bad?

do you have:

1) verizon ISP?

2) live on the east coast?

3) are you getting routed through po1-car3.vaultnetworks.com? [Collection Thread] Current Server and Login Problems

If yes, try a VPN to force a different route and maybe it will fix your lag. I was getting terrible lag today, so was a guildie. We are both east coast, both verizon fios also.

That is what I use to fix my lag.

I unforunately can verify I suffer from 1 and 2 and will check to see if I am getting routed through po1-car3.vaultnetworks.com.

Is there anyway to fix this other than usings a VPN?

I haven't found a way to bypass this lag, except through this specific vpn. Can you tell me if you are using verizon as your isp and/or if you are living on the east coast?

yesterday during our run, half our guildies had to stop running because the lag was so bad. Didn't think to ask them about their ISP and where they live in north america. but the lag has never been so terrible.

Sorry - I thought I was clear in my earlier post. I am on the East Coast AND have Verizon! And I am getting routed through po1-car3.vaultnetworks.com. But almost everyone is getting routed through that server, Verizon or not.

I had up to 50,000 ping as siege started last night! I waited 17 minutes and then went back in and things were bearable - still laggy - but I could still function. It seems like something is crashing right as siege starts.

One of my guild mates relogged in and out of rom quite a few times, stating that doing so had fixed his lag. Could try that if you do not want a VPN solution.
