Got in, everything lags very badly, AH takes 5 mins to come up, mailbox and house takes 30 mins to pop up, in the middle of dailies when all of a sudden I enter my house I tried to get in 30 mins before. No friends online because I was one of the few that could make it, rollbacks probably going to happen again because it's difficult to get any work done under this lag.

Good Morning.

To everyone who PMed me on IRC with the "Enter World" problem during the evening/night: Currently on it, now that applying the fix for it might finally work. (It can not work while the login is down completely.) If you read this, were affected by the broken Enter World button and pmed me about it, please try to login again in around 15minutes.

[I'll check for ticket reports of the problem after that.]

Please note the difference:
"Loading Character Data" indicates problems with the login to the server per se - this is not an issue local to your account or character.

Clicking on "Enter World" after you were able to login in to your account and absolutely nothing happens - this is local to a character that "got stuck" (for a lack of a better explanation) and can be fixed by us. The fix can only be applied while there is no "Loading Character Data" problem aka while the login is working normally.

Thalia has lag too, but only in some places, kind of weird, varanas central is fine, go to the bridge and ping rises and nothing responds for a long time.

So you know, it was "fixed" but the Char Screen Hang problem is back, Guild Castle down.. etc. Starting to get frustrating to put it very mildly.

I logged in, selected my toon and the loading bar went all the way up as normal but stuck there. I briefly heard a footstep sound my toon makes in the background and that was it though, the screen was still frozen.

I tried to log in again and this time I did not even get to the select characters, just stuck at loading character data.

for the difference between "Loading Character Data" and "Enter World Button does not work" please see post#62 in this thread.

The problems with the login/AH/mail/castle seem to appear periodically atm and go away on their own, just to reappear after a while.
As annoying as it is, we can't call IT every 2h during the weekend especially when what the on-call staff did does not solve the problem permanently.
And a complete restart of Artemis on every "Loading Character Data" symptom is also not warranted.

IT will investigate the issue during the usual server maintenance again.

Your quickest route would be to join our Runes of Magic IRC Channel.

Once there, just ask for any of the GM's and we will instruct you from there.

Stuck in Character Loading

Looks like the issues are back from this weekend. Hopefully with your IT on hand this will be resolved promptly and completely, instead of quick temporary fixes.

I doubt it will be fixed for a while. At least siochain has had sane issues for like almost 2 months and still not even had any official announcement to say they are trying to fix it. Just mods saying "we are working on it"..
