Error! The system cannot find the file specified.

Hi guys.
It sounds like an ancient topic about this error but I read everything about it and tried every option that i found on Forums but nothing worked. I was reinstalling so many times... now I manually installed client6.0.6 and trying manually install updates in order but even the first one get to the point when it says "Rollback the updated file..." 50% and BAM!!! "error!" The system cannot find the file specified... I tried switched off everything what could disturbed installation on this freaking annoying Win7 ... running with administrator didn't work either :/
I have win7 home premium 64bit that I blame for not working 75% of programs that I wish to install and now RoM !!!

Please Help :)

I had similar problem long time ago. I read somewhere where moving the Rom folder outside of the folder it was under would solve the problem, and for me, it did. I'm sure others will have better answers, but that simple thing worked for me.

I moved RoM folder out of program files(86) folder...and didn't work either :/

Win7 machines are not the problem. I've been using win 7 since it came out with no issues playing rom (when I played). I have had problems with rom installing correctly because of a badly coded client, but there isn't much you can do about that short of deleting everything and starting from scratch.

Get rid of all rom/gf folders, download from the beginning and repatch.

I did like you said... two times... I downloaded once by GF...didn't work...and then I tried with client 6.0.6 and all patches after that- unfortunately even the first patch didn't manage to go all the way through installation ...50% and BAM! Error!!

I really don't get it what's is going wrong... I switched off all unnecessary programs, firewalls, anti-viruses and even disconnected from internet since i have everything downloaded.

I read somewhere that maybe i have not enough free space... but I have 30GB free and 4G RAM so it shouldn't make a problem fro 500mb patch.

Looks like it I will have to come back playing KALonline xDD :doofy:

RAM is not the memory used to store information. RAM is what is used to store temporary memory, such as the memory being used when running applications. You should check how much Computer memory you have available if your memory is an issue. To check this, go into My Computer and it should tell you how much of your memory is availabl.

I had this happen with my patching long ago on windows 7 home premium dont know if this will help ya but worked for me I had to disable my norton virus protection and Firewall while reinstalling game and it worked fine after that just have to remember to inable it once you have game installed and working if this dont help sorry. Oh nvm just realized you already tried this sorry.
