How to open 2 windows on windows 8.1?

How to open 2 windows on windows 8.1?

Computer just recently upgraded to windows 8.1 from windows 8 even though I kept on saying no no and no... did it anyway. Now I can't get 2 windows to open up, the 2nd window will just open and close immediately, now planting on 4 accounts takes 2x-2.5x longer and keeps getting more and more off schedule, not to mention crashing 99% of the time when I have to go get more supplies... This is just completely and utterly frustrating now. Buying supplies and moving the harvests now takes 2-3 hours instead of 40 minutes...

Try downloading the w10 tech preview and loading it up on a spare drive. It seems to worl well for runes.

Do note while this might seem like a decent solution, the Windows 10 technical preview will only work for a limited amount of time. Microsoft can and probably will deactivate all the W10 technical previews from running sometime in the future when the preview becomes a Beta and heads for release.

I run 8.1 and only time i have the issue you are describing is if I am running a client full screen.. To solve your problem play in windowed mode from the start, and you can easily open multiple clients then. I run 4 at a time some days.

Also avoid using GF-Live, for me this caused problems starting a 2nd window also.

Like other people said(just expanding on it), just bypass gameforge live by going in your RoM folder and dragging the Client - Shortcut to your desktop (or opening it) and then pin RoM to your taskbar and then click on it and start 1 client, and then right click it and select the program again to start a second one and then you're good to go.

Hope that helps! And make sure you're on windowed mode.
