Connection issues...

Really wish they would at least attempt to fix it, or inform us of a way to fix it. Been fine for a while but all of a sudden the other day, on both of my computers, I've been getting kicked off randomly on all of my accounts. Getting really annoying when I cant do anything without dying from disconnecting.

Anyone else having connection issues??
Lately it seems like I can not stay logged in for more then 10-15 minutes..
If there is.. Im kinda surprised no one has posted the issue yet.

I had a similar thing going on it had nothing to do with the game.it was my isp routing to Europe before hitting the game server in Miami.I asked my isp about this and miraculous ly it stopped.

I've noticed it too. Logged in, doing something random, get kicked to login window. Its...annoying to say the least regardless of what is causing it.

I've had the problem for a few weeks. For me, it turned out to be a case of my IP lease having problems renewing automatically when playing the game. While it only occurs when playing this game, I figured it was my problem. I would actually prefer if it was the game's problem since I haven't been able to fix it, but have developed a workaround by releasing and renewing my lease manually before I'm going to be on for awhile which is fairly effective. Since my lease is on 1 hour time frames, before the workaround, every hour I'd get a quick disconnect when it was having problems renewing.

you can set DCHP lease times to 24 hours like I have mine... I am still having connection issues. There are a few things i am going to change/update today which should resolve any issues on my end. I only started having issues after making some changes in cabling, so after I go through a full run down of that ill post again if it isn't fixed.

The thing is...this is more widespread then a local issue. It is either:
- A Reni server issue (peeps complaining in world chat about it too)
- An ISP issue.
- A ROM global issue.

@dkjester et al: Good thinking. I think it's always a good idea to rule out our own system as a culprit before jumping to conclusions that the problem is on the server side.

That said, I've got a lot of guild members reporting the same issue. I am also now experiencing it myself. Since it's not isolated I'm pretty sure it's something on their end this time. Hopefully we'll hear something soon - even if it's just another "we've reported it" message.

MODRUNE: It could also be an issue with routing to the RoM servers, which would explain why some are feeling it, some are not. Your packets go through several switches and routers on the way to their destination and back, and depending where you're located, that packet could travel a different way than your friend, even if he's 200 miles away or 2,000 miles away. If one of those routers or switches is not feeling well, then your packet would be lost to cyberspace with no chance to recover, thus, connection failure and you get booted to the login screen. If such an issue exists, no one can really do anything about it because A) It could be anywhere and B) Most of the time these issues pass by on their own and are resolved.

Personally, I use this chart to diagnose routing issues: http://www.internetpulse.net/

If any red - chances are you're going to feel some sort of lag or disconnect -somewhere- on the internet. Could be with Facetagram or InstaTwitbook, or your favorite MMO.

Yeah I just tested and guaranteed water tight connections on my whole internet system. Ran every test I could and even used my line testers. I also WinMTRed to a computer of a friend of mines in another state and no issues there. Therefore I would say it is a server or infrastructure issue. I wont rule out a bad node between me and the servers, but it certainly isn't between me and other remote IPs.

I hope this helps them on reporting it too.

I was lumping the network journey as part of the ISP category.

I'd take that statement with a grain of salt. There are folks on Govinda that pretty much say that about every event we have. More than likely some of the issues will be corrected next maintenance but who knows since there's not a single post yet saying they are looking into it or that its even on their radar.

Very seldom do I have connection issues, but today it did disconnected me twice within 15 mins. After I restarted the client, I no longer had any problems.

Well for me it makes me laugh everytime i lag on a client, especially since i am running 7 clients on the same computer. Then one of them and only one would get a lag spike to 3K to 30K for no reason, altough all others do not suffer from it LOL. Sometimes it comes back to normal, sometimes that client gets logged out. Why would 1 client out of 7 on my computer be the only one getting a lag spike?

I have multiple theory :

GM looking up that client or toon
Bored GM having fun
People messing with the servers, zone or channels
Support running scripts to find botters/hackers/dupers/exploiters/losers

But i do know my connection is not the issue, would just be nice for Gameforge to not let us slip into conspiracy theory and tell us what the hell is doing it. tyvm

I am having the exact same issue. My ISP is comcast. Game is playable from 20 minutes to as short as 1 minute.

I don't support 1 Server. I just like the Anagram - GOAT GRIP!

Yep, anytime I run this and I get kicked back to login screen, something is going on after the ae4-69.atl11.ip4.gtt.net hop where packet loss is occurring. This is not good and the cause of our stability issues..
