No sound in game

Today when I logged into game I noticed I had 0 sound I looked at audio settings everything is turned up so should be sounds but is 0 I restarted pc still nothing I am lost as to what to do. Last night when I logged out sounds were working fine. Anyone have any idea's as to what I should do? I really hate the idea of reinstalling game. Oh and it's not my pc it is game since everything else I try including other games has sounds like normal.

I have found that if I have too many sound-producing programs open and running, that one or more simply refuses to produce sound at all. Different voice chat programs tend to argue, and iTunes, sometimes my web browser. This may not be your difficulty at all, but if a reboot of the computer fixes it, then perhaps it is.

Otherwise I'm not sure. It would be unusual to hear of a client that got corrupted well after installation.

I have nothing else running and tonight doing goblins for a few seconds sound came on just on mobs then was gone same in siege and pillars would every so often hear a mob but other than that is no sound at all even when I am launching game before I actually enter game there is no sound no music nothing. All my Audio settings are turned up and I made sure RoM volume on my sound mixer is 100 it is and just weird how just every so often I hear mobs. Guess nothing I can do but reinstall game cause I have no clue as to what to look for to fix this. And sound was working fine when I logged out last night I live alone so no one messed with pc while I was at work and yet today no sound this is for sure a mind blower least for me.

Very strange, yes.

There is a way for one to turn off specific sounds, like just music, but it shouldn't be doing it by itself.

Strangely enough, exactly yesterday a guidie complined on ts about exactly the same: he has never had any problems with sound and yesterday he had no sound from rom at all.
For him the most annoying was nor hearing instruments when starting a boss fight.

I'll check the status with him tonight, but it's a really weird coincidence that both you and him had the same problem on the very same day...

If you somehow got a corrupted sound file, someone with working sound could upload their sound.fdb and music.fdb files up to a file sharing site and you could download them from there.
