Diamonds are the only thing that has moved to being "Account Bound" instead of server bound.

Previous to this change, you had to select your server to purchase diamonds for.

So, previous to this change:

You had 3000 Diamonds on Palenque server, account name: user1. You could only use those diamonds purchased on Palenque server on any character on Palenque server.
You also had 1000 Diamonds on Osha server, account name: user1. You could only use those 1000 diamonds purchased on Osha server on any character on Osha server. You did not have access to those 3000 diamonds on Palenque server.
If you wanted 1000 more diamonds for a new character you were creating on Reni server, same account. You would have to login to the website as user1, select "Reni" as your server and purchase those diamonds for the Reni server. You couldn't use those diamonds on any other server but Reni.

Rubies were always character bound as they were bonuses for buying item shop items on that specific character.

After this last change, your 3000 diamonds on Palenque and 1000 diamonds on Osha and 1000 diamonds on Reni have been merged to make 5000 diamonds on your account, and any character on your account can use these 5000 diamonds. Even if you create a new character on Artemis, that character will still have access to this 5000 diamond pool. Any new diamond purchases now will remain account bound to be used on any server.

Rubies however are still character bound, as they've always been. Nothing was changed with how rubies are stored, as they're "technically" not "premium currency".

oh wow... good question. I never thought of that when they said they were merging the dias to be used on all characters. I really hope that they took that into account and make it just like the dias.

How are rubies not premium currency? Not only are there items that are only available in the Ruby shop, but to get rubies you have to spend diamonds, a premium currency.

I had thought rubies were server bound, not character bound. Idk though, I'd need to double check.

Actually rubies are not character bound they are account bound. I may only buy items from item shop on 1 character, but all characters on the account can use the rubies. I just wanted to make sure when merge happens that all my rubies will still be there and not lost in the merge. Which I still don't know.

Ah yes, my mistake. Rubies are indeed server and account bound, not just account bound.

So, when the merge happens:

If you have 1000 rubies on Osha and 1000 rubies on Govinda, when those servers merge you will now have 2000 rubies on server "Erebos". Your rubies will of course not be lost when the merge happens, just combined similar to how this diamond merge just happened, except they're still be attached to one of the two servers.
