Version.txt

Went through and got the current update for RoM but now I am getting the version.txt fail error. Tried applying the manual patch and nothing has changed. Any other ideas to try besides reinstalling the entire game?

try previous patch and redo, if lucky, you'll get it fixed, otherwise from scratch install

Stuck with 79% update

Hey T:

I've been having problem with the first issue on this thread whereas the update gets stuck at 79%, while download is finished at 100%. I've read through the entire thread, installed patches manually, but was not able to resolve the problem.

I've noticed that every time the manual or auto patch has been installed, it's always followed by "Rollback the updated file" and then the client screen does nothing...lower right hand corner of clients stays 3.0.1.2181. I'm not sure what to do since I've re-installed and repatched many times and the problem still persists.

Please let me know your thoughts on this, any help is greatly appreciated.

that usually happens after a bad patch, try reinstalling the previous patch 2178 for example, if that doesn't work, reinstall the first patch since latest client (patch_3.0.1.2153.en_3.0.1.2172.en.exe) and let it go from there and see if you can get past it, if not, you may be forced to reinstall the base client.

Hey, i tried to manually download the patch i got to about 14.4mb of data downloaded and then it just stopped, what is there problem here, please help!

The thing is i try downloading it manualy, all is going fine, then it stops at like 130mb of the way through and nothing, my internet still works, all my security has been turned off, what could be the problem. last time i had to reinstall

this is just one of these days i guess, first the client wont open at all, so i re download a fresh install, then it gets to 100% and 79% tells me a file name is wrong so i go dl to patches and try it that way....... still no luck, about ready to give up

Ok, well I have left the download on all night and it's still not fixed. The number is currently at 2.1.7.211.en. Is it working, and should I leave it on, or should I reinstall?

you have chosen to use a very old download for the main client.

Please redownload the game from the main download webpage as described in the first post of this thread. it will be verson 3.0.1.2153 with only a few patches to update.

Depends on how many patches you have left to go. You can compare your current client version, found in the bottom right corner of the launcher, with the patch list in the first message of this thread and get an idea how many more you have to go.

Update number

hey thanks for the help before but i think that the update has been on the same number since like 3 days ago and the kb/s keeps on going down is this normal or should i restart RoM and see what happens? :confused:

the latest patches dont exceed 200MB. If you are referring to a patch, try completing them manually.

even on dialup it should be less than 3 days for 1 patch to download.

Hello. Where can I download the latest patch at manually? 3.0.2.2189? If that is the latest patch. Talking about todays patch. Today is the 1st of July.
