Nope, there's something wrong with your internet connection or computer-- I just downloaded 2 of those files just fine, including the one you're having trouble with.

Those links aren't broken at all. I'm downloading two of the patches *you* need right now, as I'm typing this. As member jsalemi said, check your broadband connection. Or, take a look at the amount of free space you have available on your HDD. Perhaps you need to do some rather belated Spring Cleaning--those two patches total close to 300MB.

so can you do me a favor and upload those on some other file sharing site like file factory or 4shared. please. i have a top notch pc with enough space so thats not the problem. and dude look back on the replies, there is another guy with the same problems.

Even I got the same problem auto-updates' stuck at 1% and even cannot download the patch manually.. :(

ok, let's start with this.

obviously you are having downloading issues with all of these files. The question is why. As if you cannot fix why, then you will have this problem with every download provided from here on out.

The EU forum provides alternative links for most every patch. If you cannot download from those links, then there is no doubt in my mind or most anyone elses, the problem is on your end. Good luck!

sorry dude , the eu links including the MU links do not work for me. i guess i just cant get it with my isp. oh well, really wanted to play the games. its just so weird that i was able to download the patches before those.

sounds like either your ISP thinks you've been bad or there is a download cap in place. Talk to them and find out what's up.

to check the network connection to see where the cause may be, you can start with 2 tests. A traceroute and a ping test.

traceroute
Start>Run>type in 'cmd' (without quotes) and hit enter. in command prompt window type in 'tracert 64.127.96.18' once it completes, you may right click inside command prompt window, 'Select All' then hit enter. You may then paste that info here.

ping test
you may go to http://www.pingtest.net and run a ping test. please select the San Francisco, California location to test as that is the closest area to the Runes of Magic servers. Once it completes, you may click on the 'FORUM LINK' button and it will give you an option to 'COPY' so you may paste it here for us to view the results.

I would start with speaking with your ISP and find out why a simple tracert is being blocked by their service.

The connection was reset

i get this The connection was reset when tryin to load the files hosted on frogster.vo.llnwd.net

is this just me?

it's the 3 newest files that are located there
i need patch_3.0.2.2214.en_3.0.3.2231.en.exe (429MB)

The issue I am having is that with the automatic patcher it tries to extract to my C drive, which has room for my OS and that's about it. It's demanding 3GB+ of extraction space for a patch that is supposed to be less than half a gig? Come on! At least get smart and extract on the drive that the game is installed on. >.<

The patches are all compressed files and when extracted take up quite a bit more space. The patch files are extracted to C:\Windows\Temp. Since you have insufficient free space on your boot drive, the space fills up and the error is generated.

You can move the Windows Temp file to another drive. Look here:

So, any idea one when the manual install will be out? The last two big patches have both messed my game and only this manual install saved my game last time. Looking forward to using it again to start playing again.

Something went wrong in the past two weeks on a server maitennance day, I can't get past the 'enter world' button :S and I don't remember it patching. Anyways I'll try reinstalling the past 3 patches see if that works, fingers crossed
