It was not. The exact same link worked for me from my home computer but not from my work one. The difference is domain services, which for me resolves properly home but not at work. There is little that frog can do to fix slow DNS.

Ok I have a question.. First the game told me i had the wrong version of the server..Then i download it again ,however i keep getting unable to connect to network.. So I delete version guard for a minute and turn off firewall.. I am still getting this error. What am I too do firehawk91@hotmail.com

Are you trying to connect from a college or university? If so, your school's IT department may be blocking certain ports on their network. Take a look at this thread:

The ports listed are necessary for RoM to work.

As for your other problem (wrong version), I'd recommend uninstalling the game, deleting the installation files that you have, then downloading the full client and reinstalling. This may cure your "wrong version" problem--presuming that your school isn't blocking the ports the game needs.

The download link for the last 2 patches from the orginall post doesn't work, it says problems loading page. Also if I start the client it's freezing at 1%, I've let him like that for 3 hours and nothing, so neither way I can't make this game work. Any suggestions?

Im stuck on version 3.0.5.2307.en
The download bar and the update bar are both at 100%, the top bar still says a random internet connection speed, but nothings being loaded. what do I do? This has taken almost 2 days to get through, with all the patches and mess.

Have the servers come back up yet? And can we get the 3.0.9.2361+ on Tigsman's manual list please? I can never update the game without that list lol.

Tigs is a little slow on posting this, because he has a life. Here's the link for the next patch file: patch_3.0.9.2361.en_3.0.9.2369.en 198.63MB.

For future reference, to find out the links, take the link from the previous patch and remove everything after "en/" then let your game try to start patching and cancel the patch. There will be a partially downloaded file in your ROM install folder with the name of the patch file. Right click on it and choose rename, then copy the name of the file, and delete it because you will be downloading this manually. Then what you do is take the link you had and after "en/" put the name of this file you just saved the name of and then put .exe at the end of it. This is the location of the next patch file, which you can now download directly by copying and pasting this full link into a browser or a download maanger. I got the link above by doing this procedure.

The links also seems to have changed after 2349. I wonder if the ones before that still work or if all the patch files have been moved.

Once I download this I will see if there's more and try to post them if there are, but others can feel free to beat me to it and post any new links until Tigs gets back. I wonder how many "thank you"s I will get in the meantime? Probably none....

Well, then maybe they should fix the patching so that the people that need to manually patch can just open the friggin client and let it update by itself like everyone else. Then Tigs can go about his "life" and not have to worry about posting the updates and people like you don't have to troll forums talking about other peoples lives to the ones that apparently don't because they asked for a manual update. :D

Thanx Bron for stepping in here, much appreciated. Yup, that nagging thing called life got in the way. With the change of DST and now I do dailies from the day before right before the reset instead of right after changes how I access the game. Not to mention my old laptop is dwindling in speed and I got a 3 week wait for my new rig to arrive. So, Im not here so much.

I have gone ahead and added the new link to the OP and we are back up to date.

Thanx again Bron, and to some others, this is a community, its not supposed to be dependent on 1 man to provide answers hence commUNITY.

I'm trying to download these patches but it does not work. My Updater gets stuck on 100% on both download and update. It seems like it still trying to update but it doesnt make sense. I am at 3.0.8.2349. When I try to download the patches manually, it wont even start the download.

Hi! i also have the 'version different from server' problem.

im posting here cuz i literally have no idea what to do now.. i have looked through the forum and tried many things. i have tried redownloading, reinstalling, manually patching, restarting my laptop, even making runedev read only(dunno if that even does anything but worth a try haha). basically, i've tried everything i could think of and what i was told numerous times, even repeated the process again on the slim client.

the weird thing is, i was able to play the first time i downloaded the full client. i was able to make a character on indigo. and then later that day i couldnt log in, and all i would get is the message that my version is not the same as the servers'

any idea what might be wrong? i'm running a 64bit OS windows 7
