RoM needs to place a notice with all the patch updates on cause i was confused when the client would shut down and restart. i didnt notice the change in patch numbers. thank you for the patch numbers now i know it is updating right

Hey thanks for this info man, i was worried that my update was corrputed or something, but can u answer 1 question for me, my internet speed is 258kb per second, about that much, how long do u think its going to take ? :/

something weird

So with every new patch (I'm installing the game for the first time, from the start) for some reason the installer for microsoft office 2003 pops up every.single.time. It's really annoying because it disrupts the automatic patch download/install. I can't just leave it running because this office installer causes everything to stop.
Any ideas as to what it could be or how to stop it?

Thank you very much Tigsman... I could not find the last manual patch and the automatic would fail because it could not find the patch file.

Patch

Do i need to download all the patches newer than mine or only the newest one... ive recently downloaded all the game and successfully ran the client but instead of the game a black box appears everytime with an error so i deleted all the game files and now i am downloading again.. does this error have to do with patch.. does it mean that i need to download all the newer ones????

if you are redownloading the game, you simply need to reinstall it and allow the patching to auto-update. These manual patches should only be used if there are errors.

If you installed the game successfully and were never able to play more than once, you may have a systemic issue. Please go to our Technical issues forum and post your DXDiag there so me or someone else can help troubleshoot your system.

Not sure how much easier they can make it -- it's automatic. Start the client, it gets the patches and installs them. A small number of folks have problems with the process, usually traceable to something on their system, such as the firewall blocking the update process.

Yes, they should update the client more often, but still, it's not that complicated a process.

ok i unblocked the updater and the client on my firewall but when i click on the icon i get the little load thing and then nothing happens is there a way to fix the problem?
And where do i extract the manual patches?

ok I have tried to manually DL and install updates, but the first one 2.1.1.1871 to 2.1.0.1885 is doing same thing auto downloader is doing. It brings up an extracter but it will not let me put it in the folder and run it.

dude i'm havin the same prob.. idk y

see.. its at 100% download and 79% update.. i agree its only at 2.1.0.1871 but i cant get the thing to go ahead

i even tried to download the patch right after this one manually and run it but it opens the extract folder.. and after i click a destination.. it opens it like 2 - 3 times and a message pops up but closes way to fast

there is somethin wrong and i cant get y it wont load.. help pl0x and thankz for your time :(

and there in lies the fault. A destination is not good enough for THE destination lol.

please select the installation folder for the game that you chose when you installed it, every time it asks.

By default 32bit OS: c:\program files\runes of magic

By default 64bit OS: c:\program files (x86)\runes of magic

soz bro.. problem again.. there is no file named "runes of magic" in program files x86.. also.. i have 64 bit os windows 7.. so yeh.. help again? soz =/ .. must i redownload?
