Thanks again to Tigs for this post .. why its not stickied and made available by Frogster I dont understand .. but still KUDOS to him !!!!

Now a question. My patcher kept saying that a patch *.*.*28 wasnt there and gave me an error. I then downloaded and patched like a charm. I then didnt manually patch the rest just tried the auto patcher to pick up from there however it just loops. I left it all night while I slept and it looped all night and never went to the next release. Im now applying the next one manually but is this normal I wonder? If you do 1 manual patch will you need to do it manually from then on out or could this just be a minor glitch?

Regardless .. yet again .. thanks to Tigs for this post .. until Frogster updates the core download with some of the patches this post needs to be bookmarked by all players.

yeah, something bugged out at the 2028 patch since yesterday. This is a new issue. it seem you may have to manually patch all from 2028 thru 2050 and the last one can autoaptch.

someone else mentioned it in another thread.

btw, it is stickied, just in a different forum, I put it in newcomers since most normally, they are the ones that need it most. They are working on an updated core download, in fact it was supposed to be out about a week ago after a patch went bad, but it is still being worked on, I hope to see it soon.

fwiw, it was supposed to be up to level 2004 or 2010, so that might tell ya sumtin as to why today's issue with the last few patches. but that's a guess.

help

look iv bein on the updater every thing was goin fine when an error poped up sayin it cant find a patch an to spell it different or sumthing like that so i found the patch i need and went to put it in when i click on it it says to exstract too and i have no idea wat to do from here i have my setups and stuff in a folder on desktop and idk iv put a crap load of time waiting but cum on really guys im stuck and want to give up just can sum one help me id love it if u could email me at xboxtard@aol.com an get in tuch wit me it would be great...... :confused:

I got stuck at 2.1.5.2010.en, it kept giving me an error message that it can't find the exe to start the next patch, so I had to use the manuel ones for 2028, 2036, and 2050, the auto patch seems to be working agin, but despite telling it to put the files in RoM folder in Program Files, with each manuel patch I do I get some "Patchlog" on my desktop, what's that about? do I need it?

i have the same error... i dont know why it jsut keeping saying

Windows cannot find '\2.1.5.2010.en_2.1.5.2028.en.exe'.Make sure you typed the name correctly,and then try again.'

what do i do? please reply thank you

use the manyuel one of the same name from the begining of this post and the 1-2 that follow untill the auto patcher starts to work again, took me all day but I finally got mine working

That's because you did not read the instructions properly. it clearly states to put the patches in your installation folder, where you installed it to, not where you installed it from.

take the download patch from below and put it in your installation folder.

By default 32bit OS

c:\program files\runes of magic

By default 64bit OS

c:\program files (x86)\runes of magic

then execute the patch from the installation folder and let it run its course.

I am using the manual patch at the moment.. when i try to run them it says error denied then it says to extract to rom main folder and when i do it i click on runes of magic and the patch is downloading.... then i dont another patche its says cannot find /other.x etc.... so i just extract it again and its now working automaticly..
is that good?

I left my computer on for 4 hours and I looked. 2.1.5.2010?? It was there 1 hour ago. Thnx for these manual upgrades!!!

Sorry if I didn't get/read it properly, I'm from Belgium, but the dutch forum is pretty dead so I ask my questions here. But maybe a weird or noobie question, how do you put the patches in your installation folder?

you may either download the files to that folder or whereever you download the patch to, copy the file to your installation folder from there. then open the runes of magic folder and double click on that patch to install it.

the 2.1.5.2050 to 2.1.6.2049 patch is a big one, it took a almost 30 min to install for me on my system. However, if you do NOT see the Romupdate program running, I'm gonna guess its either stalled or errored out. You could try doing the last patch manually as well.

Of the last 60 or so patches I have done over the last year, only 2 or 3 actually failed for me, the last 1 was one of them.
