still need help

i downloaded it and it still says "Window cannot find "2.1.5.2010.en_2.1.5.2028.en.exe'. Make sure you types the name correctly, then try again." what do i name the file:confused:

Patch Error

When I am trying to update the patches I keep getting an error saying, "Windows cannot find '\2.1.5.2010.en_2.1.5.2028.en.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. What do i do?

I'm having the same issue, the only thing I can think of is that its not downloading the file.

So....I found this post and downloaded the patch and did a manual install. I then kicked up the client again and was met with a message saying it couldn't find the file called "other".

I have a feeling I will be doing manual updates to "current" :(

what I did to solve to solve the issue is keep the error message up while manually downloading the patch you are on. Once the manual download is done click ok on the error message and everything worked for me.

just what ever

iv done everything by the instructions listed here and every time i start up RoM it still wants to update fillin up my hd with the same thing iv played mmos for long time but this is the most trouble iv had installing one its truly kinda sad any other hints u might have to make this install correctly?

well it may have been myfault missing one of the updates but still this is a little ridiculous so i uninstalled and tring from scratch with fingers crossed...

mathjunky is right. No idea why the auto update isn't finding this patch, but i downloaded this one manually and now back on track!

When do I add the manual patch

:confused: I worked on this for more than ten hours, the biggest problem was when trying to add manual patches, during the installation i could not install the manual patch because the program was being used. So my question is... When do I add the manual patches, and how? This is my first ever MMO so I am completely lost. I am running windows 7, and Frogester told me that that should be fine,:(

As stated in my initial post, only use manual patches if the autoupdates fail.

Well, thats the reason i started to add the manual patches to begin with .... becausae i was getting the error message that ewindows could not find \2.1.5.2010 ... ect. I sent a ticket to frogster and they sent me this link, now my issue is, as i stated above. So the same question still applys. during the patching when i get these messages (alose missing \other.exe) How and when do i add the manual patches, I know where to put them just not how to get around, "this program is being used"

well for one thing, the game/launcher should not be running when you run the patches manually. If need be, reboot your pc before running manual patches.

Once you have restarted your machine, go to your Runes of Magic folder where the patches are located. Click on them 1 at a time in consecutive order. Once the first patch is done running, wait a few seconds then click on the next until all patches have been applied. once all patches are applied manually, you may then restart the game/launcher. In lower right corner of the launcher it will tell you the current version.

The download bar will always reach 100% but the update bar will only get 80%, after that it restarts the loading again
