Are the current patches kept on a different server than the older patches?


It doesn't really matter since those older 2.1.5 level patches have already been incorporated into the newer, current client program. The only patches you needed were the ones issued *after* the newer client was available.

sounds like a connectivity issue on your end, whether temporary or not I do not know. But the patches download fine for me, the last patch I was able to D/L in 8 seconds as shown in the attached pic.

Hey Tigs, I've got a problem with the manual patches here. I've tried simply clicking on the links, and right click>Save target as, and theres been success... On my launcher on the bottom right it says 2.1.6.2087, but when i run the game, it says this as an error "Windows cannot find 'patch_2.1.6.2087.en_2.1.7.2069.en.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again." Do i need to manually update this or whats wrong with it?

Hrm the link for the latest patch to 2.1.7 doesn't seem to be working .. is Frogster's server just overloaded or is the link posted incorrectly?

Might just be that link cause i clicked the one below it and it imediately went to the Run, Save, Cancel. options for that one... Maybe i'm not the only one having problems.

just tested link by simply clicking on it. It pops up the save as option and it downloads fine.

To properly manually patch make sure you download the file to your game installation folder and run the patch from that folder. instructions on location of game installation folder is shown in first post.

Strange ... I can download any of the other files but I can't for the life of me get the latest patch to download ... it just times out. :(

yeah, been trying eversince the update was available, autoupdate doesn't work so I came here for the manual one.

Current patch won't download, just opens a new window/tab and times out onto a blank page.

I don't understand how some people are getting it, and others like myself aren't. I have nothing that should be preventing me from DL it as I can get the rest just not the current.

plz fix, this game is really all that I have as I'm handicapped and this is my only way of playing and keeping in contact with the friends i had in highschool....though I could go back to WoW........ but thats a last resort cuz I prefer this game, even though the complications i've been having with it are outstanding.

Yea i get timed out as well... This is kinda stinks. Me and my friend cant download the patch automatically, and idk if he's tried this link yet but still... oh well. Looking forward to a solution.

My guess at this point is the caching service for RoM has at least 1 mirror not properly updated. When everyone clicks on the link, it connects to the caching service. The caching service then redirects you internally to your local mirror of their service. You then download from there. It would seem some folks got a bad mirror they are connected to.

I would report this to support immediately. Contact Support

In case you want to update the OP, the game (for the last couple of patches) is now requiring 3GB of free disk space before it will patch. I think the number they showed was 3077 (not 3072 like you'd expect).

having issues with the newest patch

tody's patch is not working or bugged. I am running windows vista I click on the newest patch and the ONLY thing i get is a blank web browser screen that doesn't lead me anywhere.

I see I aint the only one with this issue from a couple posts above. Is there a way to fix this??
