Waldorf: Pretty sure i got 3+gb of free space. I put the game on an external hard drive and it has 800+gb of free space on it XD

Scorpion04: I'd say we gotta wait a while. It might take some time for them to fix this...

In case you want to update the OP, the game (for the last couple of patches) is now requiring 3GB of free disk space before it will patch. I think the number they showed was 3077 (not 3072 like you'd expect).

thanx for update.

FYI, someone else has put patch up to megaupload already.

Their patch servers also seem to be working again. One of my machines managed to fully patch, finally. The other one got to 78% before failing during MD5 checking then said it couldn't find the patch file. I'm reattempting that machine again. It is downloading now.

Update:
Second machine finally got the patch and MD5 was success.

okay this is ridiculous

Okay this is frustrating as all get out. First I logg on to update the patch, only to find out I couldn't patch. Then we get an alternate way to patch, download it manually, and get RoM working. ONLY to get in game and find out EVERYTHING in my bags mind you ALL 4 of them is gone!

EVERYTHING, My mount, My 3 Tailoring machines, 3 stoves, fusion stones, my quest peices, my dailies, my food, my potions, EVERYTHING is now gone. Not only on one account but 2. The only thing that didn't get deleted was everything that i still kept in my item shop bag and my bank. thats it. Everythign I had on my person in my 4 different bags is now poof. WAY to go ROM. yall just lost a paying customer if this aint fixed.

you can try manually patching and see if it works. The directions are at the start of this thread.

Tigs, this is awesome! tyvm for this thread and keeping it updated. I do have a question though, where do you find the links to the manual patches? I"ve looked and haven't seen them anywhere obvious, which is probably one reason ppl get so confused =/

Thanks!

If your browser is set to show a notification area when you move your pointer over a link, it'll show the URL for the patch link. The base URL is http://frogster.vo.llnwd.net. But you need the rest of the URL to actually get to the patches themselves.

sounds like a connectivity issue on your end, whether temporary or not I do not know. But the patches download fine for me, the last patch I was able to D/L in 8 seconds as shown in the attached pic.

I eventually did get the patches to download, some manually, some with the client update. Just logged in today and tried to download the 4 new patches that have been put out since I last logged in and having the same issue. I do not understand why this is so difficult. I have never had problems downloading files from any other site (http, ftp, nntp, etc) on either of my PCs (one vista the other XP).....ever. I have tried everything I can think of, turned off Norton, took my wireless switch out of the picture, I am the admin on both PCs, and I never enable windows firewall or UAC. Why can't I download the file with out getting server reset error after downloading 10 - 11 MB of the files? Why are there so many updates anyway (4 updates in the last 10 days, I thought Microsoft was bad)? So I have come to the conclusion that someone somewhere does not want me to play this game. They win, I give up. I have spent far too much time and effort to get this game to work as designed.

I had a game crash porting within Varanas, when I restarted the game, I got a download, "rollback of update". It got stuck at 79%, so I closed the game and restarted, then got "script runtime error, version does not exist".

I did download the manual patch from the first post in the thread and the problem still exists. I can't start the game and am now at a loss of what to do.

you can do a system restore, to a earlier time when the game ran. Very big pain, but might save from a full reinstall.
