I just cant see the new IS

Hello.

I dont want to start complaining or even claping for the new IS. Anyways even if I wanted to, I cant. I patched only yesterday (couldn't do it before), and since I has been trying to see the new IS and I just cant. For now is annoying only because I wanted to see it, but when I will need to buy something with my dias, that's gonna be really annoying. So I would like to fix it now.

When I try to open the IS, I have a screen opening, I presume it's the screen where the IS should be. Just that it remains totally grey (except the top right where I can see how many dias and rubies I own). It's stays like that about 5-10 mins, then it suddenly close and I am redirected to a website error. An error that dosent explain at all what kind of error I'm facing.

Before you blame the addons: I tested by deleting ALL the addons and the IS wont open anyways.

So, I dont know if I had some issue in the patching process, if I have some corrupted file or something. And I wont reinstall the whole game just for figure out that it's an internal problem or it was just a file I could replace.

I have the same issue now, did the patch updates, first time I opened the shop it took about 5 minutes to display something, moment later my web browser opened to a white page saying something in a forign language with error on it, little while after that I was redirected to another webpage saying the error encounted an error LOL.. So closed it all, opened it up again and now that stupidly large window where the shop should be is a blank window with only dias and rubys in the top corner. If i leave that open for 10-15 mintues I get redirected to a page saying Error in another language.

I just don't get it, what we had was working fine, why change it, why not invest the time an effort in fixing broken/buggy game content instead of breaking and bugging old working content. Slaps Head.

I also managed to see the wheel on that first attempt, I know others complain its like gambling, and I agree, but its now time GameForge add a parental control or something so we can stop our kids from access it, cause it is now teaching the young how to do online gambling to win something. I don't like the idea.

Thanks for your reports, the problem you both are having currently seems to be a loading problem which should be fixed very soon.

When you click on a button, please wait until it loads the relevant page perfectly, but repeatedly clicking the button may cause error in loading.

Please inform me back if problem is still continuous then we will need QA help.

Thanks for your quick answer Polog.

Tho... it dosent change much.
I swear I can tell when my computer isnt reacting as it should because I'm forcing it to do many things at the same time. But this is not the case. Anyways, just to be sure, I did loged on and tried "your way" = One single click in IS button and then NOTHING. Not chating in chat, not walking around, not taking care of my plants. Not even Alt+Tab and start doing stuffs in google.

Same thing happened: Grey screen for 10 mins then it closed and I was redirected to webpage error.

And I tried it 4 times.

Just a noticed new things : 1. Now I'm redirected to the webpage error in german each time (???). I was redirected to the english one before.
2. Each time the IS closed it was coming with a "BSvc Processor" error. Wasnt the case yesterday. Anyhow as I had no idea of what that BSvc is and what it was doing in my computer (google told me something about a Bing Bar that I dont have and I dont want), I just deleted the .exe files. Just in case I also runned a cleaner.

Then I tried again and same stuff. Without the BSVC error this time. But same stuff : 10 mins of grey screen, then IS closing, then german webpage error.

I am really not a pro with all those computer stuffs, so just Help please :( I really want to be able to spend all my dias and start complaining like everyone else :c

Sure.


So, this is what I get as soon as I click on the IS button (lets says about 5-10 secs after I click, which is normal for what I read and I was told about the slow new IS):



= The IS screen, just grey with my amount of dias and rubies on the top right.
After trying without addons I just put them back, so the others stuffs in the screen are randoms addons that just always show on the front of thee screen (scrutinizer, zbag, cendril helper, and OnScreenValues).

That screen reminds exactly like that for about 10 mins, than it close and I'm redirected to the webpage error.

PS: It was pretty obvious that It wasnt an issue with the toon or the account, but just to be sure I did tried to open the IS with an alt and an other account. It was just the same story.

QA needs to see the awesomium.log from inside your client files. Please search inside the game client folder for it (this folder should also hold client.exe). When you have it please save it as plaintext and email it to me at heron@runesofmagic.us

This is important for QA to have so they can chase down the error, and potentially resolve glitches throughout the playerbase. Thank you in advance

Heya Heron,

Thanks you and Polog for taking care of this.

First I need to say I'm really a damn noob with all those programs stuffs and files.

I couldn't find any awesomium.log inside my client files (I even did did a Search but ño). I only found an awesomium.dll and a awesomium_process files.


As I'm a noob I cant say if what you and QA needs is something in those files of if the absence of the awesomium.log is the issue. To me it sounds like a missing file that probably could just be replaced?

Well !

Great news !

With a friend's help I was able to make my IS working.

I did 2 things and I'm not sure which one make it work, so there you have both:
- I downloaded and installed the .net framework (tho I thing I already had it but wasnt 100% sure).
- As incredible as it sounds, I think the second thing was the real solution: I was worried about not having the Log folder (so QA could had helped me)... and then I discovered that RoM's folder was on "Read-only". After I changed that, I had my Log folder, the awesomium.log file, and the IS working.






I also wanted to thanks a lot Polog and Heron for your quick answers and patience :)
