somehow i dont think that gameforge is the issue with this.
when i had similar issues i found that my isp was sending me to sweden before going to the server in miami.
i did a tracert and discovered this,then contacted my isp with the info and had them look inti it.
guess what................... i hardly crash anymore. i also dumped a few addons that i wasnt really using so that helped too.

This is true I never use to crash on my old crap laptop. However it had 4fps so still happy to upgrade. And its a known fact this game has memory leaks given the constant warning it sends players in game, which contributes greatly to these crashes.

of course a lot has to do with the client itself, but maybe having too many addons is it?

I use quite a bit of addons and i used crash quite a bit in siege. Recently I have made a a copy of my interface folder and deleted all addons not used in siege. So now i only got like 8 addons for siege. I just switch them out when i pve vs pvp. Helped A LOT, maybe crash once in siege, if that.

I'm having this problem about ever 2 mins in Varanas. I crash about 5 times just trying get out of the city. If the event wasn't only in Varanas I would skip going there all together.

Well as Shay mentioned : The damn ADD-ons!!!! how many do you have in your folder?? also if people still complain about the memory leak issues as an excuse, well use Cleanmem. That has settled most of my issues in game and my 10 clients are stable but now my ISP has to come back to check a possible wire issue to the post outside that would have been damaged because of the high winds we got for the last 2 weeks.

The crashing started before I installed addons. And I use Advanced System Care performance monitor that monitors/cleans my memory. It mostly just seams to happen in Varanas.

Addons have little or nothing to do with crashing. I have never used or put on an addon I run the game perfectly clean and I still crash regularly. It is all the well know old memory leak problem that they refuse to address.
The crashing centers around the main cities. There is far too much background activities on the servers in those cities and their multiple npc programs and areas within the cities. You don't have to enter the city just go by or use the snoop outside the city. I can run for hours in less populated areas and the minute I pass by any one of the major cities I will get the memory warning and soon after that crash.
If I pass by a major city on the way to Goblin Games which is almost impossible to avoid I will crash in Goblin Games unless I exit and restart the game.
I run 12 gigs or ram and an 8 gig video card with SSD hard drives and the highest AMD processor on my gaming system and reinstall ROM often to have clean installs nothing changes the crashing and lag problems.
It is simply a game problem they have put too much in several large cities and their servers can't handle it.
Varanis is a dead zone to me. I go in for a couple of NPCs and the clothing auction but usually have a crash. The stupidity of putting so much in one place and then adding the events to the same place when there is a well known crash problem there is just amazing. Watching the people crash in and out during the events in Varanis is funny except when it happens to you.
A couple of years back when I was in an old now long gone guild we had a race across Varanis just to see how bad it was. One of the players who has long since quit and I don't wonder why had just spent over an hour trying to get her character out of Varanis but couldn't because the game froze and crashed every time she tried to move which is why we tried the experiment. The winner had only 4 crashes 1he loser over 20. It is better now but the problem is no where near solved and never will be. They know what it is they just don't care or can't afford the fix.

maybe everyone just has to buy old comps again!! lol

My pos comp is well.. a POS... but man you can see me sitting at mixing daily afk.. for days upon days upon days.... upon more days haha or even weapon lvling too, rarely rarely... ever crash.

And i think some addons can mess things up a bit, over years there has been quite some problematic ones, like GCD kicking people out of game when activated etc etc

First off you are running an AMD processor and what is high end processor for you?

How many addons are you running in the folder?

I am with Cerberus on this cause i rarely crash as i have said many times before, run 12 clients on main computer i7 4790K, 16 gig of ram, 1 GTX 760 2 gig of video ram, SSD drive and a 1200 power supply and i get 67 FPS and 47 ms ping. 2nd comp can run 12 clients on lower settings mind you is an i7 930 12 gigs of ram and a 2 gig video card and regular HDD, 35 FPS and 47ms ping. they both have the same addons, 30 of them at most.

I dont use ZZbar or any other of those bars that supposedly makes life easier, installed them once and was crashing all the time so took it all out and it fixed it.

It was the top AMD processor 1 year ago. The earliest part of my statement was I have no ( ZERO) addons I have never used or installed one. The problem is with the game. I can run for hours outside of the cities but just going near Varanas is enough to cause a crash. It is a high end gaming PC I can run every other game at max video settings with highest frame rates and no problems.

Well since you are inclined to blame only the game for your crashes and be stubborn not to see people trying to help you, i will leave it at that since there is just no point.

And then come and say you never used addons, guess like many others just done hitting my head against a brick wall, so sure blame the game, blame Gameforge and especially do not try to take advice from people who don't have those issues, keep on raging.
