Version 5.0.5.2592.en (has however been happening ever since i got my 70 elite so a few version earlier at least)
Description:
To reproduce the problem simply use either Low Blow or Bilind Spot Attack once you have your 70 elilte skill.
If the "Sininster Methods lvl 70 version (Demostration of Evil)" activates then at least double the rogue energy will be taken away for Low Blow/Blind Attack respectivly.
NOTE: there may be some rogue energy regeneration so for instance a Low Blow will take away 60 points but regen might add 20 points so the net effect is only 40 points. Where the net effects should ONLY be 30 points if no regeneration or 10 points if there is regeneration.
IMPORTANT:
To make the bug work you will have to make sure that the Sinster Methods(Demonstration of Evil) is NOT in a cooldown phase. ie triggered 20s earlier.
Also, just because its not in a CD phase doesnt mean the elite will activate. When the elite activates the bug occurs 100%, but if the elite doesnt activate then bug wont happen.
I suggest going at a boss using Blind Spot followed directly by a Low Blow. Odds are at least one of them will trigger the elite(many times the both take away double the energy on same rotation)
To see the difference in what SHOULD be happening do the same Bind Spot/Low Blow combo while the skill IS in a cooldown and has no chance at activation.
So for example pick a boss that has mobs right before it DoD is great place for that and to test:
- kill the mobs first by using Low Blow so that the Sinster Methods(Demonstation of Evil) activates,
- wait for the elite buff icon to disappear, then
- go at the boss FAST with a Blind Spot/Low Blow while you still have 10 seconds of cooldown whereby
you know that the elite skill wil NOT activate.
If you do as above there will be MORE then enough energy to do a Wound Attack and continue on with the rest of the rotation. However, if the bug activates you will find out quickly how fast ya have NO rogue energy by the time your ready to do a Wound Attack.
