Memory Errors ??????

Played this game a couple years ago and enjoyed it but I had to leave it for personal reasons.

Now I came back to game but all I get is a pop-up saying I have a memory problem and then my game crashes.

I have 32gb. of memory running Windows 7 .?

I've uninstalled and re-installed it five times !!! .... so I will come back in a couple of years to see if it gets fixed.

I hope it gets fixed I really liked the game and the people that played in it .

The memory error shows up after RoM reaches a certain amount of Ram used. The game also does have some memory leaks, but if you would like to simply remove the memory warning message then i recommend the addon "MemoryWarningMuzzle". It will remove the popup message and instead just post a message in your chat window. If that message would bother you then im sure one of the local Addon Developers would modify it for you if you ask them nicely.

"pop-up saying I have a memory problem and then my game crashes"

Muzzle will only prevent the popup, not the crashes. The issue is that you need to lower the graphics quality because "some memory leaks" are more like water main bursts when the graphics are set too high for the engine to handle it.

But in case you couldn't tell from this one interaction that details get missed. A lot.
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

Just set View Distance to around 1/4 and it won't be too bad...I usually run everything on Max except that and don't have too many issues. I also use the program CleanMem and have it set to wipe unused memory every 5 mins which eliminates a fair bit of the crashing in RoM *note, it can and will crash still, just not nearly as often* (Has no negative effects on other programs/processes, if anything helping your comp run better in general)

@ Majik Appreciate the quick response nice job.You don't see that in to many games nowadays.

@ sertet & CammoXD Lowered the graphics a bit and got CleanMem . Now I can play the game
for more than 45 mins. Thanks to both of you very much. :)

Still thou I didn't have this problem with my old 64 bit XP Pro machine ... oh well it works now
and I'm happy.

The better your machine the more likely it is the crash...because you put settings higher by default. I used to have an old dell laptop with 256mb graphics card and low end duel cpu. I could run this game for hoursssss and never crash, while most those in my guild would crash at least once an hour. (I did use CleanMem on that too though, even with a crap comp it helped).

Once I got my new laptop I started to crash more often (once or twice every few hours), wasnt too bad but the difference is easy to see.
