English speaking players on Palenque

Hello everyone,

Since this was mentioned or discussed in other threads, I open this thread to collect some information in regards to players on the Spanish/Mexican speaking server Palenque who only speak English.

The server Palenque is the only server of the US server farm for our Mexican/Spanish speaking community. [FONT=&quot]The item shop menu and sub-menu is all localized in Spanish, even when you set your language to American English. [/FONT]Since the server is flagged bilingual, quite a few English speaking players have chosen this server as their home.

If you have a support issue and need to send in a ticket request, the way things are set up you should receive a response in English as long as the ticket request was sent in English. If you write your request in Spanish you will receive a Spanish response. However some of you reported to receive the answer in Spanish although their request was sent in English.

I would like to ask players who received a response in the wrong language to forward me their ticket IDs in private message so we can check what might have gone wrong here within the system.

I will attach a poll to this thread to get a bit of a better idea how many English-only players are playing on this server. Please spread the word on Palenque to participate in this thread's Poll if possible. It will of course only show a speckle of the real values, but might still be helpful to us.

I only speak English, but I can read some Spanish and as that it was the newest server I went with that. Other then the cash shop and now the diamond page has not really been an issue.

One item that has bugged me - on the forums there is no Palenque listing

Thanks for starting this...I too have made a few threads on this subject. I did receive a ticket response in Spanish once, so I'll send you the info. I hope the info you're collecting will also be used to consider a Palenque English forum as well...especially since the Spanish forums have proven...a waste.

Please, if there's one thing to NOT change, make it the item shop.

I can't tell you how frustrating it is to hop on an 'English' server, only to discover that I can't find the damn Trajes section!

speak English only
speak Spanish/Mexican

Spanish/Mexican? No creo q solo mexicanos juegen en Palenque y Mexican no es un idioma. Con solo poner Spanish/Español hubiera cubierto a toda la comunidad que habla español.
I play in Osha and im from Peru and i really pissoff when ppl say: 'ah u speak mexican' soo please fix it.

I hate that the buttons are all in Spanish. I'd rather them have BOTH languages, or even to jsut be plain old text that the client could translate.

Aah, when I play on Reni, once in a blue moon, I have them studied, they're all in the same order as Palenque.

Yea I was about to say something about the Spanish/Mexican thing, but it's fixed. Just a thought here but a post is made where palenque players get to vote whether they speak only spanish or English, yet the post is only in English? Also you do realize Spanish speakers don't get on forums because it is only in English. Therefore this isn't a good poll and the results won't reflect the population in Palenque adequately.

At the time I only joined Palenque onlybecause it was a new server. Pleast put the Item shop menu in english also.

I thought that was funny too.

I checked the Spanish forum and this same poll was not posted there that I could find.

Most of us Palenque players are rattling around there anyways, struggling to translate everything, since they refuse to add an Palenque section on the US forum, despite it being labelled as bilingual. (Oh great and mighty CM, if it really IS bilingual, why then won't they created a guild section for Palenque on the US forum???? They cite that they won't do it because "It's the Spanish server".)

LOL. I speak English only and I agree with you 100%. There is no Mexican language. Mexicans speak Spanish, as does many other countries. It is a little different between each country but it is still a form of Spanish. It is like saying do you speak English/Missouri.

it would be nice to be able to read the diamond shop in english. sigh i chose the wrong server long ago, but hell seeing that it was my fault nerver really made a big deal about it. Please make it in english please. Or....your could offer server transfer's and we call it even

That will teach me to post with lack of coffee!

The poll is just meant to give a feel for players who are on this side of the forums and not speak Spanish but play on Palenque, basically. I will ask in our team if we should spread it to the Spanish section as well, until then please just spread the word among those who are in the same boat as you.

I think the biggest help for you guys at this point would be to get a Server forum on the English forum section for Palenque as well, which i already forwarded as a suggestion.

It is certainly a start. Diamond shop in both languages would be a huge help as well.

Mexican speaking community? No offense but Mexican is not a language, so I'd fix that, it sounds slightly offensive and just plain ignorant. Also Mexicans arent the only ones Hispanic people who play this game so it would probably be better to just include the Spanish part.
