The poll is just meant to give a feel for players who are on this side of the forums and not speak Spanish but play on Palenque, basically. I will ask in our team if we should spread it to the Spanish section as well, until then please just spread the word among those who are in the same boat as you.

I think the biggest help for you guys at this point would be to get a Server forum on the English forum section for Palenque as well, which i already forwarded as a suggestion.

Just merge the damn servers already.

I am from Palenque. I speak Engrish and Spanish. Also i Speak English American Gangsta and SPanglish. I have many accents i can use. I am 20 and single have a decent paying job but i cant complain.Wait... this isn't where i parked my car.

Ona more serious note.

Most of the Spanish community Speaks Somewaht ENglish. I suggest that Youput the Item shop in American AND SPanish. I know some SPanish players that Cannot speak english.

I'd like to add my voice to those before me who mentioned our servers absence from the forums. We've no server specific guild page, or looking for group page. I'm new to the game, and I joined Palenque specifically for the fact that it's bilingual. Makes me a little sad to not have server forums to make friends in.

Palenque has it's OWN forum page... that no one goes to.

They single us out b/c we're awesome!? duh. xD

I'm used to English & French ... it's a bit startling to suddenly see everything in Spanish (especially because my bro is living in Brazil & speaks Portuguese!) ... Gotta admit, makes Reni look much more inviting (even though busier!)

BTW, had no clue it was Spanish/English (not a prob, but just didn't know) ... my main reason for checking it out was it was a new server! Not as much spam, etc., etc.

Well, there hasn't been any movement on this thread in a while... does that mean that Frogster just gave up and will be leaving Palenque as the red-headed stepchild, with no forums and all support in only Spanish? Cause that would really suck.

We've been trying to explain to Frogster forever that:

A) The server wasn't marketed as a spanish speaking server to us when we chose it. It said "NEW", it said "Not Crowded" and it had two little half-flags, one of which was decidedly American.

B) The server is really diverse, and we have plenty of people who do speak Spanish, but very very very few who speak no English. The native Spanish speakers are overwhelmingly bilingual. Some of my native Brazilian and Mexican guildies speak better English than I do.

C) The server is also overwhelmingly native English speaking. While we have a decent contingent of native Spanish speakers, I think the poll is fairly accurate- it's about 20 percent Spanish speakers and 80 percent English speakers.

Palenque is a bilingual server. We're all pretty comfortable with that. But to classify us as "Spanish speaking" or even "English speaking" would be wrong. There are a whole bunch of English speakers who speak no Spanish at all, a small bunch of English speakers who are bilingual, a larger bunch of Spanish speakers who are bilingual and a tiny fraction of Spanish-only speakers.

All we would really like are our own forums here on the English side, and to get payment and support in both English and Spanish. Some people would dearly love to get the Item Shop in English also, but like Mega said, we've all gotten used to dealing with Trajes.

Palenque is polyglot, and we'd really like for the Powers That Be at Frogster to acknowledge that.

Why the segregation anyway? If you're going to change forums/buttons and what all to bilingual- then change all of em and give our Spanish speaking community the option to game on any server. I personally love the fact that I have the opportunity to game with an international community. It adds flavor to the game.
Unfortunately Spanish isn't one of my languages. But if your Ukrainian, Russian, Polish or Slav, you have my ear.

I dunno Limetwist, when I joined a year and some ago, the server sure looked to me like it was being billed as "Bilingual" as it had a little half American flag and a little half flag that I think is the Mexican flag.

It's isn't a bad idea to have a bilingual Spanish/English server- we've proved that we get along pretty well the way we are.

If we didn't have the English speakers, Palenque would be a dead wasteland. If we didn't have the Spanish speakers, life would be boring and I'd never have met some really great people . Plus, I wouldn't be able to roll out my one bad sentence in Spanish ("donde esta el bano") to guffaws from my Spanish-speaking guildies lol. Plus now I know how to insult someone in Spanish ("feo" "gordo" etc) and laugh correctly (jajajajaja).

All we need is some acknowledgement from Frogster that recognizes the state that we already have. We need payment and support options in English too! We need official announcements in English too! We need forums here just like everyone else!

If there's one thing I've ever been happy to hear, it's this.

Hands down.

Dionaea, I meant the server banner announcements like "...spanish gobbledygook 120% brilliantes!" etc. I think the "Don't buy gold or we'll ban you faster than you can spit" notices are all in Spanish now also, which is a big problem, as I still sometimes have to explain that that's a major nono to new guildies.

Announcement announcements are fine, just as they always have been.
