new stuff

are they going to be adding the ability to be able to walk in most of the buildings in the towns? The distiller in the highlands is this way, but it would be wy cool if most houses and inns where this way. Oh and how does one find out when the next patch is and whats in it? im just curious is all. So far this game is pretty good. I liek it alot. I hope im still around when the new races are added. School starts tonight and you all know how that can go. haha

thanks

Matt

I was actually thinking of posting something similar about this asking why most of tergothen is a huge waste of space. crap loads of buildings that do nothing and NPCs entitled "merchants" that sell nothing. that and the whole water bay area is a pain since a good amount of it turns into a danger zone when you're just trying to circle the huge city.

ehhh, theres nothing out there. nothing but waiting pixels. I hopes they have it in the works, a new chapter or new zone or something. doing the public events in tb with the same 3 guys taking turns on who gets to win is getting old. still havent got a chance for a single hero pull but i do have 5oo tokens in my bag.

Then it's time you become more efficient and do the spammable event quest.

do share? spammable or not, so far as i know, the quickest one in south tb is locked down by the three who are sharing pulls. they leave no mobs and we only have one channel.

Yeah it seems empty, pretty to look at but empty. Going to the towns is kind of odd because you cant go into anything. no inns to chill in, no interaction.

Also, the gaurds who patrol the roads, they need to actually patrol the roads and kill creatures with red names that are to close to the road. I have died so many times trying to get to the city because the creatures walk paths encompas the the raod and before you know it, your dead. haha. I think the roads should always be a safe haven for people. a lvl 1 char should be able to make it any where on the map.. IF they stay on the path. But yes, the inns and buildings could to be opened up so we can see in there and talk with merchants who sell stuff or even give quests. OR just relocate some of the quest givers allready and put them in the houses and stuff. IDK, exploring the insides of a inn or a house puts soooo much dimension into a game. Feels less empty and linear. Whats the point of going to a town if you cant go into anything?

also, they got lazy somehow and made so many of the walls and stairways invisibly impassable. it's always just a simple little pleasure being able to hop over walls and fences and figure out weird shortcuts for exploring things. the invisible walls make everything feel like we're all in a mouse maze.

yup yup. and the fact its soo hard to climb to the top of a house and sit on the chimney. It sounds juvenile, but people like that sorta thing. The point of mmo's that encompas HUGE amounts of lands and places to go, is the pure fact of being able to explore and go into places. Dont always have to fight and quest. My wife actually like to explore and bypass the lvl'ing phase. haha.

If i was a script kiddie, i would help, but im a network and mechanical engineer. soo that limits me to helping the community.

So many posts about this, makes me wonder why I get teased so often about exploring :)

I love to clear out an instance and explore, or just wander around in a zone or town. Hate those invisible walls!

they made a whole holiday event surrounding the skills it takes to get to a rooftop chimney just to get out a santa claus wannabe, but apparently it only applies to the lower level zones. strange.

Hmm, ok. so instead of me flamming the game. How do i help improve it? i wonder how many people feel the same way with non enter-able buildings, invisi walls, merchants that dont sell anything, etc etc. I have no idea how many are on the RoM team. I have no idea how this game even started and why it started. haha. BUT i would like to help and give ideas in a non threatening and non flamming way. I love this game as does the wife. She says it brings back memories of her friends and her in there teen years when they all read Lotr. haha.

things that could be improved are:
traveling merchants
entering buildings
merchants actually sell stuff
the invisible walls
allowing players to climb ontop of houses and what not.

I agree, they have needed a new central city to replace varn - and with the public quests you have a good reason to stay in that region now.

Make it more populated, add in transport between chapters.

And it would be lovely to get a 12 man gearing / learning instance their too! (Hard mode HOS maybe?)

I'd just like to be able to take snoop from TB to Dalanis without having to snoop to Redhill/LoM/Limo/NJF/SJF first, talk about needing to relog after you get there
lol "jump man your porting all over the place"

I would totaly be willing to pay the total snoop fee, just let me load once, haha.

I have noticed that. The transport system is noticeable as well. From logar to revert camp or whatever is a very interesting trip, but thats ok. thats not my beef. The empty feeling of the cities is. var is sooo empty. no one moving npcs that sell things or traveling merchants or kids running around. the major cities seem sooo empty, well maybe thats because im on a very low populated server. haha

Anyway, the small towns seem empty due to no entry to buildings. very linear.

thanks
