Upgrade Guild Castle Requirements.

:D Here are the basics to upgrading your Castle and their Outer Walls to stone:

4,323,290 Wood, Ore & Herbs
9,821,938 GOLD
36,111 Guild Runes and 145,613 Rubies!
Guild Stones are minimal.
Keep this in mind when you decide to do this. That cost is for one or the other
and not* both. Pick wisely.

Are there any plans to fix the outer walls upgrade so players can't jump into the back of the castle during siege? Right now, they can jump off the hill in the back right into your castle.

Either move the hill back or raise the lower platform on the upgraded walls.

That can be done with non-upgraded walls as well. Not sure if upgraded walls make it easier or harder, but the exploit is not exclusive to the new walls.

A better question would be whether there are plans to make the upgraded walls make a difference in SW. Right now, the change makes no difference in how hard it is to attack or defend the place. That seems rather counter-intuitive.
-- Rustyx --- 92R / 92S / 92M on Reni (Guild KnightShift). Yes, running the new FOTM R/M, cause I am not elf enough to be WD/S.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

The issue of jumping over Castle Walls has been reported to our Quality Assurance Department and they're investigating the possibilities. Once the investigation is completed, the issue will be forwarded to our Developers. The jumping over Castle Walls is considered an exploit and is therefore forbidden:eek:

Is there any work to reduce the mats needed? The ruby requirements I think are crazy. My main reason for wanting it is to have the extra build spots to have buff towers.

But that still doesn't keep cheaters from cheating, and by the time a defender of the castle get fraps started, you are dead.

Just wondering

I did not know that you could hop into the caste with the old walls as well. And since it is confirmed that jumping in is expoiting im wondering of this scenario would be against he rules as well.

Say we have a rouge jump from the hill onto their backwall. (the one that runs right behind the throne). The rouge does NOT jump down inside and cause damage. But instead just runs along the back wall one time looking at where the buildings are. Then atfer he spots the factories he tells us where they are so we know which gate providea the easiest route. Once the rouge tells us he jumps off their walls and comes to help us with the gate. Lemme reqmpahisize that the rouge only was on the wall for less that one min and only observed. He does not set foot on the ground within the walls nor does he attack anything

Im guessing this would most likely be considered an exploit and if not it would be looked down upon. But being the strategic person i am. I like to ponder things things like this. But at least i ask first. I can gurantee that no one in my guild will do this until we have confirmation that what i described is not an exploit. If it is deemed an exploit then it wont even be thought about

Sry for typos if there are any. Typed on phone at work.

the gate is much smaller and there's a bottle-necking hallway to it which makes defending a lot easier, there's also changed platforms for the pew-pews to defend

While I'm not a GM or CM, I think I can channel one.

Any character entering an opponent's castle, by any means, while the three main gates are still intact, is guilty of using an exploit to do so. This includes jumping on top of a castle wall, even if the player never takes the character to the "floor" of the castle. So, running along on top of the outer castle walls to "scout" building locations would be part of the initial exploit.

Your typing skills on your phone seem to be pretty good, but I'd almost pay money to watch a cosmetic product (rouge) hop into a castle and run along the top of the walls. ;)

If you are not a GM or CM, does that make you a M&M?

I do hope the walls get fixed soon though.

i think the part of that kalvan missed is the part of exploits where 'it gives an unfair advantage blah blah' but that's a lot like people planting faces inside trees so they're out of LoS for everyone, and i think ideally like putting them in towers if you fall through etc. innocent enough, but if you can avoid it, you should, because not being able to have your defenses killed except by running up and melee hitting them, that's a distinct and unfair advantage. :/

That and Flame Towers can allow you to break the invisibility and see what is there.

No comment, as I have no information or ETA for this. It is being discussed and worked on.

That's because I specifically was not addressing LoS issues. I know they still exist, and as someone who plays a Scout, I have "issues" with those issues.
