Sitting at "Loading Character Data..."

Like the subject says, I've been sitting at the "Loading Character Data..." for at least 10 minutes.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Still sitting at loading...since my last post.

I wonder if there's an item in the cash shop I can buy which will increase the odds of being able to log in? I mean, what would the price in diamonds be? /grins

Edit: 43 minutes so far...I'm going for an HOUR! Woot, as they say.

It's taking FOREVER to log in lately, so stupid. Especially with how often this stupid game crashes, spend more time logging in than playing.

the stuck @ loading character data ....... not being able to enter house or guild castle ....... and not being able to use mail or auction house is all linked to one another, seems to happen every 2 hours for about 10 minutes .... been like this for close to 2 weeks ......... as far as seeing it fixed anythine soon I wouldnt hold your breath ,,,,, frogster isnt well know in this game for getting things done with any speed or compatance and now with the EU side takeing over its even worse since none of them ever seem to come onto the game at all ...... I mean the timers on the weekly specials run out at 3 in the afternoon before most people even on to play the game .... and thats money there loseing so fixing something that isnt makeing them money has to be wayyyyyyyyy down on there list of this to do .........

At this point, it'll be in their best interest to implement a cs at the load/login screen, given that's where most people spend their time...granted if they're tired of all the waiting they might not pay anything at all xD

it's a new RoM thing, where they probly won't be fixing since it isn't costing them a thing. there is zero news on a fix, so let's just live with it ^_^".

I take it ur either trying to login to an osha or reni server? if so this problem has been going on for about 2 weeks now. i was hoping that they would fix it with a server maint. which it did.. for about 1/2 a day, then it went downhill from there. osha hasnt had bank tellers in varanas for 3 days now. ah, mail, house all seem to stop working at some time then 5 mins later they start up again, its really annoying and they really need to fix this asap

In a way, this post was kind of reassuring... was all set to cuss out Comcast instead. Reni server here, too... was in already once, watering my alts plants, then got hung up switching between characters... also sitting at Loading Character screen and... waiting. :confused:

Should we do tickets about this?

I've found that if I get stuck at the loading character data message (happening a lot over the last few days), I just cancel & back all the way out, I mean completely close the game.

Sometimes it takes a couple of times, completely closing & restarting from the launcher but then the game starts as it should.

It works for me & I hope it works for you too.

I wonder if they have tied the RoM login servers in with new game Froggy is distributing and is now in open beta, and thats whats causing these login issues now. It seems the login issues started about the same time the other game went into open beta.

Sitting at the loading screen for 15 mins now, this is so much more fun than actually playing the game........ Tried closing out and restarted and no luck, guess I will actually have to go and spend time with a reali life human being....

We're aware of the issues regarding excessive wait times to load character data from some of the NA servers. Tech and QA are looking into those issues, but I have no further information to provide.

As for Frogster's other games (Bounty Bay, Eligium, TERA), they are run on other servers in the EU, not in NA. Eligium is still in CB, I presume TERA is, as well. And yes, Frogster's EU Runes of Magic game is run on servers located in the EU.
