Alright I have a question.

I'm seeing all these newbies that come in and start saying "Oh my lvl 55 M/P is wearing such-and-such gear." wtf I've been playing for the better part of two months and I play regularly and still trying to hit 50. And these people I'm talking about joined in Jan. 2012.

There are several ways to progress fast.

1) Play an alt. I was amazed how quickly alt progressed (and it was not twinked either), because I knew the quests already

2) Get powerleveled. Bad, bad thing to do, but hey, it happens

3) Get self-powerleveled. CoO/Xaviera are self-powerlevel zones. You get to 52 in a day and half, less if you play around the clock on weekend

4) Put more time than you can. If you have work/school/family or, god forbid, life, you cant spend as much time in game as those who do not.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

it only takes a couple days to get to 50 in coast of oppurtunity. and with the dailies in xaveria that give 260k xp a week or two to hit 55.

Also, I see that you have two toons with all three classes. It takes a lot longer to level all three classes then just two, specially two on just one toon.

One of the most important things to do is do all the quests in an area. Many open bonus quests that really increase leveling speed. This is of utmost importance in the new area as some quest lines seem to go on for ever. Mess an early one you lose 1/2 your total quests there it seems.

I will disagree with vfwiffo on the power leveling. At least one side should be power leveled as quest dry up fast if you do not do this. Almost everyone has done prior mmo characters. As such knowing how rogues play or mages need not be relearned. The quests will still be there for your third class. You can now enter areas that have a much higher population. As such the game is much more enjoyable. The gold from doing the Kalin power leveling will get you level 30 gear easily for both sides. You do not need a full set as quests in new area gear you up very nicely. Power leveling by someone who has done it before will take at most 1-2 hours. Do not beg to get people to do this for you. Show them you are versed in mmo's and they may do you the favor. Split the gold you receive and do not stop to pick up everything or go afk . They are giving you their time. Boss gear will help you at level 50. Make sure you now tier your weapons to tier 4. It is cheap and if you use a unbound type weapon you resell it on AH for a profit then rinse and repeat with your next weapon. 55 done this way is easy enjoyable and fast.

Sounds like one of those questions someone asks because they don't understand why people level so fast, not that they really don't know how they do it.

Also, nobody mentioned "Daily Resets" yet, which is how those with irl $$ or lots of in-game gold level quickly. Plenty of people "reroll" (change one or more classes) and get back up to max level within an hour. With the addon that automagically turns in quests for you, daily items from AH, 100+ daily resets, and anyone can be any level they want, as fast as they want :)

It depends on your experience in game also. I can lvl a character to 50-52 in day easily with no use of diamond items like resets whatsoever. That however is because I have access to coo and xaviera whatsoever (since I already have 3rd class in one char in the account), and so I can lvl that much by questing non stop and not getting stuck not knowing how to do a quest (I have done them multiple times).

I also got from 67 to 70 the day the cap was raised, with no resets or exp orbs or any diamond item whatsoever, and on my mage I did 60-70 in 3 days also. It's all a matter of experience and good use of resources to me.

Ok first off I'm not lvling three classes the only reason I have Scout and its level 30 is for Chiron, becuz leveling my Wd/W is too boring for me. :p

Thanks for all the replies I guess I understand how newbies are getting higher than me. I guess its just frustrating to see someone like me you plays a good bit and is still grinding thru whatever levels and these brand new people shoot up past me in a couple of days. But I guess its just my personality I don't take the easy road out.

If you want to be insta-uber, use the tips in this thread and you can more or less power-level yourself to 70/50/50 in a weekend.

But... you'll lose a lot of the fun factor. Part of the fun is grouping up with a bunch of people and running instances and just having a great time. If there are a bunch of level 45-50 peeps in Demenza, group up with them and have a ball. Do Kalin Shrine, do Cyclops Lair, tackle Treasure Trove. But, if they're all off doing HoS/Dl/ZS without you, I can totally see why you would feel left out.

You can level fast if you want to, but take some time and play your own game. Don't feel bad about it. Rome wasn't built in a day, and your toon doesn't have to be either.

He or she that rushes to the end may be finished but has no satisfaction. Always do the job well and you will be satisfied.

No sadly I and only one other person in Demenza is in the 40-50 range. So yes im usally left out on runs, BUT their are poeple who will run me thru the instances i need so i can level and run those instances with them.

It mostly depends on how much you play. When I first started I was able to play 10-12 hours a day, and 50+ on a weekend. Although P/K is one of the slowest levelling classes, I was 60/50 in ~ two months, at which time Chapter 4 came out. With CoO/Xaviera now, that two months could be cut down to two weeks easily. I learned a lot more about my class and the game though, questing at-level through FA, MA, KS... Ah, those were good times.

One thing to remember: those newbies may be 55+ in a day or two, but they don't have the slightest clue what they're doing when they get there. Makes me sick when I have to hold the hand of someone 10+ levels above me and walk them through basic content becuase all they did was powerlevel to the end. If you're 55+ and don't know the names of zones and towns, can't use the transmutor for even basic gear modifications, and have to ask where to go in NoM....yeah...nuf said...Do what you're doing man, you will be a much more powerful player than them trust me.

What he said. Also, although the max cap has raised since the game launched and leveling is easier with the powerlevel zones (CoO and Xaviera) alot of us old school players had to take months to get to 50 with crappy mob dropped gear statting and tiering with green stats. Im not saying you have to go through all that but the point is taking things at your own pace and enjoy the game because you can ask almost any old player who are still around, chapter 1 and 2 will be their favourite. Seeing new players rush pass it is sad they are missing out on a big chunk of the game.

Some people want to rush through content. That is why this game gives you the ability to so, just like many of those Apps on the Apple Store. Pay2win to give you a few hours of entertainment everyday.

I personally like to earn everything I played for, I went through every zone, every instance, every mob and PK'd people on the way.

I've been playing since the end of ch2, lets just say I never hit the lvl cap until ch 4 :P You can have lot of fun during the early lvls. Always feel like you have something to do. Not so much at the lvl cap/end game. Either your grinding mems, repeating events, or waiting for others to get online to start runs. Only real enjoyment I get at end game is downing new bosses, but even wiping in order to do so gets boring.

My advice: Enjoy the early parts of the game. Those are the most fun. Learn new tricks and situations that make your skills useful. Familiarize yourself with everything. I did, and knowing my class got me *very* far, even compared to people who used to outgear me. Now, I outgear them, and surpass them in terms of knowing my role and performing it well. Bottom Line-go at your own pace, have fun and learn along the way.

yup its better to take it slow and learn on ur own, maybe a little advice helps but dont rely on it altogether, when i started not long ago my first thing was to check on forums what skills i should level and so i did but now i realize that not all that were advised to me were working good for me and i chose to level ones i thought were good for ME, everyone has their own way that fits them, so even us right now telling you to do this and that, dont do it, u can still keep it all in ur mind, but its best for you to find out what exactly works better for you, maybe ur gona hate CoO and xavierra and like grinding more, its just the personal thing here
