New Low Ping in Game

My ping before the update was usually around 78-93 now its 31-60. Loving it..Anybody else have the same?

lol, mine before was 31-45, now 75-125. and as of today it really isnt affecting gameplay even though my fps is down around 10 or 15 most of the time.

It's because they moved the servers from the West Coast to the East Coast (somewhere in Florida)

All the east coasters are happy, cause their pings lower, the west coasters are disappointed, because their ping is higher, and I, being in the middle, am pretty much exactly the same. :P

I went from 60-70 to 218+ ... and it spikes up to 3k in dod.. 7k in toshh.. i don't know if i could actually continue playing

Couple points...

Unless they put in the middle of the country (which they really should, lots of servers are located there to avoid east-west coast problem), one side will be happy and one will be unhappy.

We had it on the west coast for a while, so now all west coasters are in same position that east coaster were all along. While it is not good when anyone's ping goes up, those of you stuck on left coast are pretty much experiencing what those of us on right coast used to have all the time.

Posting threads about your record low pings when a bunch of people are adjusting to high pings is not exactly in best form. It is like rubbing salt into someone's wound.

It's not like we are not entitled too.

"I AM LAGGING, I CAN'T DPS/HEAL/TANK PROPERLY."

A lot of the same excuses I heard when I was running with a lot of people. I like salt. >.>

That is just you then.

I live in Kuwait and my ping never went above 20k. (Hell, it's never been above 600)

You most likely are using wireless or your ISP decided to throw a couple hiccups.

....most servers are definitely not located in the middle of the country. As middle as you get is Dallas or Chicago, most are actually located on the east or west coasts, they just have a good enough connection to where it doesn't effect players that much.

But do think about it. You're talking a difference of less than 2% of your ping if you were on the west coast. I don't think it warrants that much complaining unless your internet physically sucks. I have 4 servers all on the east coast and my west coast visitors are not effected by that at all. The datacenter where RoM is hosting at probably generally sucks.

My ping had been 34-37, now its 94-109 with late in the day random spikes of upto 15k area... not sure what it is but without the spikes even with my ping tripled its not any different game-play for me. Guess being used to playing with below 20fps kinda helps me out here.

All the move from West to East coast seems to have done is make the side of the country that was unhappy with their ping happy, and the side that was happy with their ping unhappy. Oh, and it also made siege even more bugged out than it was before.

What exactly was this move supposed to do? Cause it seems to me that all it did was create more problems, not that I'm surprised... this is Frogster. When doesn't something just create more problems.

Pretty much this.

My ping tripled. People on the east coast say theirs got cut in half. If my math is right, that means the servers are actually worse off than it was before. Of course, this is all based on anecdotes, but the idea holds true. The fact that siege is (re)broken is a whole other issue, one that affects a good majority of the population. I really do wonder if these guys actually test anything. Seriously, the negatives really do outweigh the positives in this game.

If its not broke-don't break it.

Seriously, what a surprise, Frogster messed up again. So tired of this, time and time again, Frogster changes something and all it does is (censored) over the playerbase. Seriously, get a grip Frogster.
