Users online Tool

Ok, It would be nice if RW/FEU would just enable the User Online Tool aka Population Count for servers. As it would be nice to know exactly how many total Users are on at a given time. Artemis and many others servers I jump in are becoming ghost-towns, or AFK Fests...I know the Tool is available for RoM  so just enable it already Or is RW/FEU afraid to show the actual Player count per server to the Consumers. It would also help in drawing people to more populated servers to increase player interaction:rolleyes:

No idea if this was discussed as couldn't find a thread specifically for a Population count tool.:o

There are a few issues with this.

First and foremost, everyone is going to have the same desire: To join a server that has a good player population. Thereby gimping those that don't of a player who might have gone in, found a guild they liked despite a lower population, and continued to play on that server.

Increasing population on an already crowded server is going to cause a myriad of problems in the long run. The more data a server node has to hold, the greater the likelihood of problems increases. That means more borked HK's and chests, a laggier client, and less overall manageability for gameplay.

Last but not least, number of players online isn't indicative of the real population of the server, thanks to people who multibox and use bots.

Actually ... there is a "player count" in-game that works perfectly fine. ;)

You just need a person in each channel. >.>

I guess its to difficult and might deter new players in playing. I would really like to know why the User Online Tool for RoM was never Enabled, and why there is no Server Status menu on the Main Website. Practically every game has such features to allow current/potential players to get an idea of activity etc etc.
