Also in butterfly dailies today I was in chan 1...no COI.... I type fly and join a raid in chan 2. Chan 2 could see the chan 1 people but chan 1 people couldn't see chan 2. Server is officially BORKED

Not saying your server is borked but it is strange they ahd you going up against 2 different guilds. As far as the channels go I ahve noticed that if one is a bit low on players then you will be able to hear the other channels on Reni. Not sure if this was planned or is like you said Borked.

We did end up with 2 actual sieges. 2 of us in one vs 27 player guild and the rest in another siege.

This is lame.

OKAY SIEGES:mad::mad::mad::mad: HAVE BEEN MAJOR FAIL FOR THE LONGEST TIME. AND THEY STILL ARE. THE ONLY REASON YOU CONTINUOUSLY GIVE US IS THAT ITS IN BETA. FREAKING FIX THE SIEGE BEFORE RELEASING ANY NEW CHAPTERS. MOST PEOPLE PLAY TO GEAR UP FOR SIEGE AND YET 2 YEARS LATER ITS STILL IN BETA YET NEW CHAPTERS CONTINUOUSLY GET RELEASED!!!
Bow down to your royal highness.

multiple or guild-split sieges are a problem that happens for well over a year now...

US servers never had this problem happen...

I'm forwarding this problem ASAP. (When the Eu guys wake up..)
I noticed that these guilds also took multiple point losses. I will also forward this.

split sieges, lol, Houston, we have a problem. the list is allowing too many guilds into the registry. my opinion.

Actually ... if I remember correctly ... it occurred several times, I am not 100% sure if it got fixed though. They might have found a way to greatly reduce it?

Maybe they need to use multiple servers for siege instead of just one? It will alleviate the load on the one server, and hopefully get rid of the lag. As far as multiple Sieges for one guild go I have seen this in the past. A guild I used to be in was signed up for not 1, not 2, not even 3 seperate siege battles in one noght but 4. Yes you read that right, we had a total of 4 different guilds that night. Luckily oir whole guild was on so we could handle it, but we ahd another problem. around half of those that got into siege were sent to other guilds siege battles instead. Last night on Reni I heard the ranting and ravings of lots of players about beign sent to another guilds battle and not their own and the multiple siege battles as well.
I suggest take siege offline until it is fixed. Yes that will tick off the PvP player base, but it is a better idea than just letting Siege continue to be a thorn in our and frogsters side (or is it the whole rose bush tearing up our sides??)

This is a first time it has ever happened, they may want to take a look at the fire festival it was pulled after two weeks last year.

Normally I'd agree but then there comes the problem that if it's on multiple servers the trouble will then be two warring guilds on separate siege servers and therefore unable to interact and actually war each other.

This is merely speculation, mind you. I don't know enough about servers to actually call that one, but it makes sense to me anyway.

That might be one of those pick-your-poison situations. As far as I understand it, siege has been RoM's biggest selling point for a lot of people - and therefore what drives them to play. Removing that for any period of time would not only upset the PvP player base but likely remove them altogether, which would leave it as a thorn in the players' side and the whole rose bush tearing up FAI's side.

What I meant by using multiple servers was this: instead of attempting to have every battle on one server (which is most likely the case right now) split up the battles upon several different servers. Not saying split up each battle but stick the first 25 battles on one server, the next 25 on a second and so on and so forth. They still should be able to use the results from each server to rank guilds, but by splitting the battles by groups it might alleviate the problems with lag.
I know taking down the Siege is a sore point but something needs to be done and soon. With it as it is more and more guilds are refusing to sign up. ANd if that continues there may come a day when noone signs up.

I edited this after I found out how many guilds can sign up for siege.

False. This has been happening for a LONG time, just not very often. I remember back before I even made my current toon, I was on my healer, Sisterdeath in a siege with my old guild Hellguards, and half of us were in fighting one guild, the other half were fighting a completely different guild from a completely different server. I haven't played my healer in well over a year, so this problem is FAR from new, it is just rare.

And blinddragon of osha against 2 guilds. Probably a couple others.

Point is, its clearly a server configuration issue and they need to admit that and get a proper server admin, not this "we hope lowering the active sieges fixes it"
