The thrill of inspecting someone only to find out that they have unprevented gear and killing them before they can swap, and seeing a sparkling bag on the floor was too fun.

I remember seeing dragonlance and associates being banned. It was a pretty chaotic day.

It kind of sad to see the state of the game now from how it used to be in terms of population. You used to be able to see all servers at least crowded at different points in the day. Hell grimdal used to be the most populated server at one point.

biggest memory to me was when i started... and the music started playing in pioneer colony. it was loud, epic and sounded very fantasy.

the game being playable at high graphics till the first time i hit dalanis, then from that point forward, i couldn't play the game without crashing, let alone on max graphics ><

first time i saw the world chat: WTB diamonds!' and didnt' know what a diamond was (i didnt' read too deply about this game before i started xD) i was boggled seeing them go for 10k each thinking: where dio i get those? i wanna sell them :O

then the first time i saw FA. still my favorite dungeon to this day.

Countless NoM runs

Scheduling an entire Sunday a week in advance to do IDK35 and looting the epic Ice blade from the chef.

Being told my druid was worthless as a class, then being hauled in to HoS about 5 levels too soon to "friendly" mobs

The epic (failed) 10 minute battle with HoS first boss when we got there after 2 hours, only to watch him rage and wipe the raid.

OMG how did I forget NoM???

Trapped in a box.... That was epic lol. We'd wander in too close to the tank and *poof*. Oh, and the shadow boss who clones, we spent like an evening figuring out how to deal with him.

Oh and the one boss in Sathkur- working out his little Simon Says game. Such good times :) I still love Sathkur- there are some awesome skins in there.

Farming Memories endlessly, trying to get Talomo's was the worst ZOMG lol. And then you'd get them all and your rune thingy would bug and you'd beg a GM to fix it for you. Man, back in my day you had to walk 10 miles barefoot uphill in a blizzard to get your 50 elites. Remember when people would pull out their fairies and be like "mmmhmmm I am LEET baby."

Dalanis raids... epicness.

Palenque was usually pretty cooperative, but there was this one guy who always "ganked" (his word) and he was really amazingly good at it. Christmas last year, and bless him, he was ganking away. I happened to have a lot of snowballs, so I stun locked him through an entire raid lol. He'd click it off and I'd have another one on him. I think Noto farmed that damned snowman umptybillion times just for ammo. Heheheheheh. He eventually said we were a bunch of meanies and went somewhere else ;)

Come to think of it, we had our most entertaining guild war with that guy's guild, for the same reason. They'd get an "alternate" raid of 5 people or so and "gank" the rewards from the real raid, and we were out of ammo, so I decided to guild war them and we slaughtered em in the sewers. Chased em all over the continent, and that particular guild has a high population of lowbees, so Varanas looked like a bloodbath. Good good times ;) World chat was definitely popcorn worthy- specially since the highbees all quit guild so they could gank in peace and the guild leader logged out and left his lowbees to die alone. Ahhhh, the old days :)

PK parties in the castle, my whole guild against our OP mage (not me lol, I sucked at PvP on mage). Our OP scout would lay low and try and snipe him, but somehow he always got killed first. The lowbees took turns silencing him, but somehow he'd manage to live through it and purg them off him.

Using table jumping to build our guild castle's fairy bridge to the roof. We went so high in the sky that the castle looked like a speck. One of my female guildies had a Beaver Lookout pet named Harry, and Harry valiantly followed us into the sky that day, even tho he kept falling off the tables. Just imagine jumping onto tables suspended in the sky while being followed by a beaver named Harry. It was very... psychedelic? Lol.

Man, we have had some damned good times :)

My favorite memory was finally getting my own guild castle (I gathered all the materials by hand) and discovering I could build a path of carpets to the very top! And then, of course, the quest to get all 15 boss decorations that followed. (and the 70+ kills of Aisha)
For some reason, I also liked farming Physique X stats off the troll things in weeping coast.
Oh, and killing Akeli the Sage

Most of my good memories are pre-Ravenfall, when level 50 was max level

DDC - Ant raids, ant leechers/drama in zone chat, guild battles (before there was a siege) along the road into Obsidian, massive Ant Queen raid fails!

Ystra - Ferret raids, 36man raids to even ATTEMPT taking down the Binpikes, Labyrinth before it was changed into what it is now and subsequent chicken farms for then uber purples.

DFR - Farming for the Lyk set for 4 1/2 weeks with ish. Talking my guild into farming with us (before everyone got a drop that is, we had to take turns looting!) only to have most of it become worthless gear a patch later. Grace IV stat and the drama when it was removed temporarily from game so everyone had a piece of gear that was suddenly missing a stat.. lol.

Aslan - A time existed when you absolutely had to watch your back there, because there was no bright red panic inducing ! to tell you that Perodia was about to mow you down. Borrofor showed no mercy, and he still doesn't lol. Farming NoM for weeks for enough items to get elites for only 2 classes.. there was no 3rd class yet.

Silverspring - Max level being 50, no one could bring down GG yet, though there were many attempts, especially the great debt wipe patch where everyone gathered there to try and take him down.. massive debts, massive dura loss, massive fun :) The tunnel that now leads to HoS was just a thought in the back of some devs mind. It took an actual well geared team and tank to take down Scooray, same with Crafty Bernok you needed for your vhatos quest. Speaking of.. Vhatos WAS the elite jewelry. You didn't get a good dura piece, you rolled an alt to do it again and pray for better dura lol. It took actual raids to do Bloody Gallery, and it only opened once or twice a day.

There was only ONE Epic quest line!
Puris cost 26 diamonds! (give or take 1 or 2 dias, my memory is bad lol)
Your choice in perm mounts consisted of white, black, and brown horses.
Clops was your endgame instance lol
A good tank had 9-10k hp! If you had 3k as a mage, you were rockin' it.
There was only one house plan, the one you start out with. If you were lucky and won the screenshot contest, you got a free upgrade to the original 2-story plan.
Clean yellow drops were just a myth :P
You were uber if you had a 2 green/4yellow or 3/3 green/yellow statted item that was +6.. and wings didn't exist yet!
That damn treasure hunt quest was broken for the longest time too.. back when Yola was Yola, and not Narfas.. (I may have the names mixed up/misspelled, been a long time since I did that quest lol)
No rubies, mentos, no shells, phirius tokens were to be spent on charges!
No pets, other then the cosmetic ones that cost around 30-60 dias depending on which.. not 1 dia as they are now lol...
There was no guild castle instance yet, so no material farming in there, nor planting, nor pet gathering.. you wanted materials to craft, you gathered them yourself, or paid someone well to do it for you. Also, it was still click once, 1 item gathered, not click once, whole node auto-gathered.. and node stealers! Damn rogues :P

Ahh... sweet memories... the good old days.
Some men just want to watch the world burn..

I remember koyu and zarth being gods of Artemis. Arrow of essence being an active spell. Waiting until midnight to get into bloody gallery , or simply getting a friend to run it for me if he could be up late. NoM being broken with level 50's being wiped by its mobs. Lots of fun before chapter1.. hopefully it gets as fun as that
in the future.

Ah boy yeah, I remember those 2 legends :) I remember quite a few of the old school players lately.. people who strived to take it to the next level, provide guides, push the limits and be the first. It was always fun to chat with those guys and gals too. Times change.. so do the faces.. but some just leave a big enough mark that they'll always be remembered.. like mythological entities lol

The Random Deaths in Thunderhoof Hills when it was first released. God I love Ninjabunny.

I remember looking around Silverfall when I first arrived, and an ent came by and one-shot me.

I remember the days before Advanced Bind Lifters, when if you wanted good gear you had to farm it and build it, and you painfully sold your cast-off gear ... to the vendor ... runes and all.

I farmed meats and eyes for weeks for my black codex set. Loc. Pa. Wag. Kere. Loc. Break 1/2 hour. Rinse and repeat. Raid up for the other elites. My 114 dura necklace was my pride and joy for a long time. Remember when you could get 500K for a Phs X?

I remember learning the strat for Razor Lurker. And how cool it was when it worked.

I remember a battle with Sirloth, when he killed both of our tanks and then came for me. I took him to one side while they resurrected the tanks. Then the tanks took him back, and eventually I died, but so did Sirloth so I didn't care. Tag-team tanking for the win. Epic heals too.

In the beginning we used wrist attack rotations on DoD no. 1 because we couldn't take the full hit from chaos sound wave.

Back when level cap was still 55, Realmguardians could put 3 full raids in HoDL and they would all win. Fun times.

Yeah, lots of good memories.

Server wide raids for the giant guardian. using flame towers to distract the guards in siege. When Sjf was released and some of us had the wonderful omg wtf moment of lvl 58 red mobs in our houses ( I was lvl 42). Nice people who giggled at me but came to help me get rid of them... three times in a row. 50 elites done the hard way, trying to complete the rogue one with the trap ( final count, trap - 28, Jinkz - 1). Feeding Nubz to the chicken when he was a baby toon and I was more op then him. Countless deaths while learning the strat for hos last boss.

Finding and making really good friends, some who still play and others I have lost touch with, ( always on the hunt for Epidemic refugees, miss that whole group.) Mostly I remember when the game wasn't so focused on money and being the best, when people were helpful and friendly.

Doing my first group quest ever in an MMO, in NoM, back in the days when people did that. Turned out those folks were in a guild, I'd never heard of guilds, and joining them for several months of fun. Meeting new people, including my in-game wife, and proposing to her under the waterfall near what is now ToSH, then sitting there for hours and hours just talking. Being able to help out people that helped me at the start. Really good times in Clops. Being part of building a new guild with some good friends, and the somewhat dumb idea of friending each other on Facebook... not to mention the guild's Facebook page, lol. All in good fun.

Finally clearing Cyclops with the guildies after several days of trying to figure out how to get past that pesky second boss >.>

Everything about clops, really was epic.. even the attunement. Was really fun being the "guild clops attunement guy", I swear I did that quest 100 times in one month. Was always fun though, people really appreciated the help. I can't really think of anything in the new content that compares -- farming mentos, meh.

Send me a PM when clops is end-game again, maybe I'll come back and play a couple times :D

I remember the days when everyone was talking about how R*ft would mean nobody is going to play ROM anymore, when newbies begged for runs in forsaken abbey, when Dalanis events were the QQ of the day and when people were dropping their warden class to replace it with scout instead of the other way around.

Oh, and back then, the forums weren't overrun with trolls and you could read just about any thread and find at least something useful. Men were men and children were a few.

Trying to figure out why the transition to Weeping Coast from Silverspring was so much harder, before realizing that there was another way out of Silverspring...through HOS to Savage Lands...then finding the correct route to Aslan. Also, #1 cactus daily farmer in DDC. Made bank there. lol

Loading into the game for the first time and feeling the excitement of a huge world open for me to explore (first MMO :P). Being run through FA my first time and being in awe that a priest could solo it. Also, and as-level run through FA that got all the way to Ancalon and then wiped. :p My first run through HoS - that place looked so huge to a newbie! When Wardens and Druids were the red-headed step-children and everyone was QQing about how bad they were. Drooling over all the high-levels' awesome armor and wondering where it came from - of course I know where everything comes from now, but still...

Lol,

I remember those days.

"OMG THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY IS GOING TO LEAVE".

After about 1 month, 75% of those people came back.
