Add me to the list of customers that hates Gashas...or "Gotchas" as I call them. The only reason they might be popular, IMO, is because we are forced to buy them to get an item we otherwise cannot get by straight out paying for it, such as the 30-day speed mount potions (the good one, not the lesser one), etc.

I just detest that I am forced to gamble my diamonds to get something I otherwise need to make the game more enjoyable. I rather pay more for the item knowing I'm going to get it than rolling the Gotcha dice. If you want me to gamble, at least make the payoff big and something actually usefull - that means not a rainbow donkey unicorn mount that I don't need.

Now I crash maybe 3 times a week at most which is a bigimprovement! Even with my video settings on high I now get a ping of 31 and fpsof 51 which is 3x of what it was before!

You know that this 'improvement' has to do with move of servers to cheaper ISP/host??

I agree that SW is not all this game is, but it seems that it drives many things, in-between sales on AH. People are buying stats, food, pots... all for siege, and with SW being down... no sales.

As for new users, yes we have some of them, but it's hard to keep them around. Most of them leave once they figure out how much cost to run 'free to play' game. :)

You'd actually be surprised. There's a very vocal forum minority that can't stand Gashas in any form.

The vast majority of the playerbase, however, really loves Gashas.

I remember when gashas first came out, they were great. I think they were there during last years anniversary and contained guaranteed tier VII runes among other guaranteed things.

Most of the animosity came with the gashas that had a chance to obtain an item (like +16 jewels which also had a chance to fail). So it was more that those people felt as if they were gambling with their diamonds when the only way they could obtain a wanted item was through gashas that only had a chance to give what was wanted.

Ouch?

Looking for ban?

At least you acknowledged that there is a problem with population, and that we are in need for new people, but to your surprise, problem is not forum and our complains, problem is overpriced CS and many problems already discussed in this thread. Think about it... why people don't stay long in the game, and don't forget, most of them don't even bother checking forum.

We only loved the 2nd anniversary Gashas that guaranteed all 3 items.

However, online gambling is still again the law in the US. Isn't also against the law in the EU?

Seriously though this really has gotten so expensive. $20 on DD is 1k diamond. I don't have to do the redundant math on how little you actually get for that. The price points are fine the CS is so expensive. You can either hope the Whales keep paying, or you can drop CS prices and double the paying customers. Majority of people quit RoM over prices NOT content. This is a really good game but for most paying players its not sustainable. Just my opinion I don't expect anyone to agree.

Part of it you hit on the head. But there were a lot of players that left for other games that came out that are more stable. One other thing that ahs steadily caused a drop in the number of players is the community itself. New players are treated like red-headed step children to the point of them quitting and not wanting to come back. Then they tell their friends about their treatment and their friends decide to not even bother with the game. I overheard in a cybercafe the other day several people talking about their treatment in Rom, and they would never come back. Get a grip people tis not all Frogsters fault that this game is steadily declining.

The price has to be right. The guarenteed item has to be something I want, at a great price and the propability of getting a bonus item has to be high. Then sure.... But yeah, the timing of having Gasha's on sale with the fragile state of morale on the US servers isn't great. If the person(s) that run the cash shop offers would look at the many page thread of what people would like in the cash shop, I don't think a single response (that wasn't a joke) asked for gashas... That being said, as a player, we don't see what actually sells vs. what the very small representation of the population (the forum) is clamoring for.
I miss the ant party

I've only spent a few hundred on this game, but only because I felt that the results I was getting wasn't worth the cash spent. Please lower cost of cash shop prices.

LOLLOLOLLOOLOLOLOLO Ummm NO, I have never met anyone who loves gashas. You are probably basing that quote off of the large quantity people buy, but the only reason they buy them is because they are forced to gamble on a really good item that is not otherwise available in individual packs.

I understand a lot of people are upset, we are always working on improving overall experience in RoM, which of course covers several topics such as siege war, missing house items, sales and events.

Change won't happen overnight, but we are listening to your ideas and acting upon a lot of them.

I personally prefer the players work with us in a constructive way, as that is the best way to gather the thoughts and ideas of the player base. Posts clouded in anger or garnished with insults toward the company aren't going to help anyone.

So for now, I will regrettably have to close this post, We appreciate all the constructive feedback we've been getting here, but I feel it is beginning to derail.
