Alts and houses..

So I took advantage of the diamond sale a purchased some diamonds. One of the things I was focused on getting was upgrading my house for xp/tp bonuses. Well I was under the impression my alts would be under the same household since they were under the account I purchased the diamonds under. I would not of spent half of the money I did if I knew it would only be accessible to one of my characters. I was highly disappointed at this but I understand, I can't do anything about it and I should of done my research but I was wondering if the ability to share the house with your alternative characters will eventually be applied to any future updates.

Thanks!

That's fairly disappointing. I was thinking, due to the fact the amount of diamonds you need to fully upgrade your house is pretty ridiculous it MUST carry over to your alts. I am pretty mad I wasted all of those diamonds doing so.. Eh, what can ya say.

.

Just park your alts at the housekeeper and give them permissions.

The downside of course is the whole TP/XP/Crafting bonus issue.

Which is the main problem. If your characters share diamonds why don't they share the house you spent all your diamonds in?

Also, I made diamond purchases on a character that I wish to transfer to my main character, same account, is there any possible way to do that?

I think the best you can do is put in a support ticket and wait and see what happens.

Just explain that you did not realize certain things would be an issue. That would not have spent the diamonds the way you did if you had realized they would be an issue.

I think sharing houses and CS bags will generate more sales. Its alot easier to justify stating an alt with shared resources thus creating a need to keep your CS bag stocked. Mentally looking at your CS bag on your alt and sating FML I have to buy all this again is daunting. As it stands my Alts are dirty stated. Though if I had that access it would cause me to roll through my stockpile and purchase more. Just an idea for Frogster to consider.

I put a ticket in the two days ago regarding another issue, said it will be answered within 24 hours and nothing yet. Guess they are busy with SW lag issues and the recent Gasha problem. Or just more concerned with EU issues. Not a big deal, I have patience.

It would most definitely generate more sales. I guess on their hand they're thinking we will spend more diamonds on upgrading our alts houses and getting more Item-shop items such as: mounts, xp/tp potions/neckies, and other non tradable items. Whereas on my mind I would rather spend no money and just not have an alt. However, If it was connected toMy main character I would spend the extra diamonds on upgrading my alt because of the fact that if I don't need all of the items they will also be accessible to my main. I would never spend the amount of money I did on my main for his house on another alt.

With last addition of magic warderobe, I wish they do the same with CS, household (as mentioned here), and partner bag. But I can see problems occurring, like what if you have HK on 2 or more characters on the same account. Which one system supposed to drop, or should each character have it's own HK? There is more to this issue.

Any mods care to comment. Is there any communication with RW regarding housing, CS or partner bags?

Since I am still fairly new what exactly is a CS bag? Is that a cash/item shop bag? And also HK, only HK I know is honorable kill :P

You're right about CS. HK is house keeper. You can hire them and they can provide nice buffs, pots and food for your character, as well they provide storage space for set of gear and 10 extra spaces for accessories and weapons, or anything else. (think of it as half of wooden storage chest that you can buy with gold :))

Ah I see. I was debating on getting a house keeper, I just found out about them yesterday. But I presume people wouldn't want to share HKs other than for the storage space. Because if your making an alt it's normally(not always) of opposite stat needs. Such as having a warrior, warden, or knight main, you might want a mage, priest, or druid. And if you hired HKs they would have buffs for your main warrior and be kind of irrelevant to your alt right?

Some of us have alt LOADED with mats, armor, pots, food, etc.

I for one would hate integrating all my alt houses in to 1. You get more out of many houses vs. 1 house anyways.

I see what you mean. More alts = more storage? Well making a choice of merging houses could be an option. How you have house friends, maybe make a "House merge", only available to characters on the account.

Yes and no. You have option to hire 6 of them, starting at 200K, next one is double and so on.

Here is price list:

1. 200K
2. 400K
3. 800K
4. 1.6M
5. 3.2M
6. 6.4M

Some crazy people do have all 6, but there is no really big need, as with 5 you can cover (almost) everything. There are 3 different buffs, magic, battle and protection, and you can craft and cook. (thus 5 HK). Sixth, optional one can be kept low level to produce food that increase damage, but it has no food for mage. As it works as storage, there is a good reason to get them (and does not count as another piece of furniture if you get storage chest), and all of them usually sooner or later will get into crafting, one to 100 rest to 80. Usually I end up with more pots then I can use, and it's nice to have some pots, like Galloping one. They takes very long time to level, so sooner you start - better.

How they would set them to work

OP, as is always the case, read the HouseKeeper guide on game guide forum before setting out to hire them. It is outdated, but still useful and covers the basics.

I am with Ravesden. Like most people toward endgame, I have tons of junk - runes, stones, mats, orbs, potions, food, gear, stats. That means anything that is not bound I am likely to send to my storage alts. I don't want those alts to share house, bank, HKs or anything else. The whole reason they exist is to have as much space as possible. Easier ability to exchange stuff? Sure. Shared storage? No.

There is also a nice inventory viewer addon that lets you peek on your alts inventory/bank/chests, and that helps a whole lot.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

I will be certain to read the guide. Thanks for the info RoMage and vfwiffo.

If storage is the issue, having the option to merge or not to merge would be up to the people. Or if they are unable to do a merge update, at least allow your alts to use your house for the Xp/Tp/Crafting bonuses. And the ability to exchange CS items between characters on your account. It costs a hefty amount of diamonds to full upgrade a house and doing that to two characters is out my limit.

But maybe also, I will not need it. Maybe I am getting ahead of myself with two characters. But the trading of CS items between characters on the same account really should be implemented.
