Does anybody cares about botting anymore in game?

I've reported the same player for 3 weeks and he'S still in TB 69.1 by 60.8 and doing it.

Sent tickets about it nothing done about it. Permanantly ban them and get done with it.

Can we get an answer please do you do something about botting or no, thx

lol, they have not cared about botting for over a year. I have sent videos of the botters before and nothing gets done. If they do check on the botter, it is days later when they are done with their bot for the time being. A year ago at the pumpkin festival, I reported 2 botters that were botting the pumpkinhead event. Every event they were in perfect sync, doing both emotes the instant it started. I submitted tickets, even whispered a GM online who actually replied and said they would check it out.

If a GM ever did check them out, they checked when event was not going on. Without the event running, the bots were just afk toons standing there. They can't even stop cheaters in siege; they do not care about botters.

maybe nothing is done to botters cause it "helps" certain people :rolleyes:

. Botters help aggravate players and pressure them to potentially spend money on the game if they are dead set on playing RoM. So that in turn gives the company's behind RoM more Profit.

In regards to the conspiracy theorists, before the Forum wipe, Swag made a post about the current status of botters who had been banned and the number of people who bought gold banned. It showed both sides had made impressive strides, along with a total of gold that was removed from the server due to illegitimate gains.

Point is, they can only go through tickets so fast. Yes it does seem like a quick pop in and out thing, but these people are still busy with other things. It may not get done, but when it IS done, its done thoroughly. Besides, why wouldn't you want to also get a handle on those people who bought massive amounts of gold from these farmers and crashed the market? Whenever they ban a botter, they ban people who buy from them knowingly and remove both parties gold from the server, so don't worry so much about it, disrupt him if you want to, but if you can't, just leave it be for now.

i find this hard to believe when players that do not exploit or cheat are being banned on heresay.it seems to me that this game is extremely one sided and quite frankly support is ,how to say nicely.........lacking.some players appear to be shown favoritism.notice i said appear to,im not saying they are, it just looks that way.

I've been called out in world chat about that player, he's apparently one of 3 or 4 alts of one OP player on the server. They don't care, they say the GM's won't do anything about it because of who they are. I grind everything i need without cheating or botting, seeing players do that is pathetic. They are also mainly from the same guild and they are all doing it. You GM's and CM's are doing a greater job than ever before for a lot of things and thank you very much for that.

But 3 weeks and they are still at it? a bit too long. I'm sure you have enough on your plate since the merge of support service and all. But these player are not here to play the game at all. I pick up stuff for guildies, give them cards, food, potions,runes and all without asking for a dime. Just to help them enjoy the experience of the game. You have too many players here, that are too greedy and don't care anymore.

Keep up the good work guys and truly believe you will get to them ;-)

One thing that wish was implemented in this game was that the GM's could not play the game themselves on the servers they GM on. This would help prevent any favoritism.

Also remember that if you send in a ticket, you are put in line. From what I understand, if you even edit that ticket, it puts you at the back of the line again.

Perhaps in the tickets, you can mention that the area is a popular bot spot and give names. Perhaps the GM's might find other botters there if not the one you turn in.

It's really not that hard to FIND botters... all you gotta do is go out to inferno gardens and wait 10min and one will show up, if there isn't one already there...

I got a botter banned once. That person was botting for a while and everyone kinda knew it (and my guildie reported him too). But, I had good screenshots to prove the case, not just my word on it.

They should:

Post the sentence for offenses on the forums and make it clear

First offense 1 month banned, 2nd offense 2 months, 3rd offense 4 months and after that perma ban the account not the toon.

This would go for botters, cheaters, exploiters, hackers and those morons who uses racial or other slurs at players in siege.

No buts, or my dog died, i'm stress out, i didn't know or any bullcrap excuses. Execute sentence on the spot so they might learn to play the game, and also there are children playing here that don't need to deal with this crap. This is to be constructive.

And who might this person be on Reni? As far as I know bots are not uncommon and they're everywhere and if I tried to report every one that I see, I'd spend an hour a day submitting report tickets.

No. You can't just ban the account. Some people create 1 toon per account and then have multiple accounts so if you ban their account, they probably still have their main character on another account. They have to be IP banned if you want to be serious about solving botting.

If I remember correctly FEU followed the same procedure for banning as FAI (3-strike-rule).

3 Strikes and you get a perma-ban. (Assuming you don't do something overly extreme to earn a Perm-ban)

As much as anyone would like to brag about them being immunes to bans. You can talk to Grimdal's biggest botter and ask him how he lost over 20 accounts for bragging about it.

If someone is botting, just video it ... screenshot, report it. They will get to them... (eventually)

The way im seeing it , Is botting is OK with froggy .. i can bot of months and send all the goodies to main/alt and LOL in 8ish months when they ban that toon for 30 day .....

Iv payed this game for over 3 years ( hell of a lot of work ) and have never try'd to bot , Or even wanted to .. With the way GMs/CMs are dealing with them.. Botters have nothing to worry about ... Just sad : (

Not really.... Mostly someone farming dog meat is considered bot if personis doing it for long time and more then once a week. In my opinion, those people are helping me get trough with main/alts without annoying dogs/gardener on my trail and not to forget just not long ago I would farm stack - two and get a piece of stated gear.

If I am reading this correctly a player can only have one ticket at a time if they create a second ticket even if it is for a different problem the tickets are combined or the first ticket is closed or combined with the second one and then goes to the end of the line.
So if you report a botter today and a week later report a different one the first ticket is closed and the second one goes to the end of the line so if you keep reporting botters often your tickets never get to the front of the line and nothing is ever done with them.

hopefully this won't derail the thread but I found this very curious.... other day I see the usual dog meat botters that have been there for a while and I whisper one with a nastygram and they msg'ed back! Something along the lines of they couldnt translate what I was saying. I asked them how in the world they don't get banned and they said because they are at the keyboard?? Does RoM define botting as AFK?
