Runes of Magic US / AU

Lately I have observed unscrupulous players Botting Inferno Guard Dogs on the Palenque Server. The two main offenders I have witnessed are ___________ and _______. These Bots are easy to spot. 1. They usually will not reply to whispers unless their owners are monitoring while playing another account in another window. 2. They follow preset patterns and do not deviate from it. 3. They are incredibly fast when it comes to targetting and they seem to have eyes in the back of their heads. 4. They just behave in a way no normal person would.

I have seen Bots running north and a guard dog spawns behind them and they instantly turn around and fire where no human player could do that so fast. I have killed guard dogs in front of the bots only to watch them continue to run where I just killed the guard dogs. I have seen ________________'s Bot run to around loc 55,55 outside of the North gates of the passageway where the first 4 guard dogs are but no dogs spawn there and you can't aggro any dogs by proximity from that location. ___________'s Bot has a slightly better program and more complicated pattern but it still is just as obvious as the other Bots I have seen. It will loot the guard dog corpses but will not loot just loots such as copper arrows or whatever. When it leaves a corpse it opens up and other player will see the particle effect meaning if they wanted to loot the corpse they can. Last night I killed a guard dog after it had aggro'd ____________ and before he could damage it. This messed up its program. The corpse should have been opened to him to loot but he didnt loot it. I waited a minute for the corpse to open up and went and looted it and sure enough there was a guard dog meat left behind unlooted. I also saw the 4 npc adventurers mess with the Bots program causing it to run East outside the pathway where the 4 dogs spawn.

I have done my best to report these offenders to RoM but to the best of my knowledge nothing has been done so far. These Bots are either owned by greedy players or by even greedier gold spammer/sellers which RoM is supposedly against. It would only take a GM 30 seconds to log in and observe these Bots I report and ban their account, and I dont know if they are doing this or not but these Bots represent a clear and present danger to whats left of the RoM gaming community. We as honest players cannot allow our servers to go to the Bots. I ask you to be on the look out for Bots and to report them in the hopes that RoM will do something about them. I urge you to kick cheaters out of your guilds and spread the word about them. I urge you to be careful who you buy guard dog meats from if you do buy them.

If you have ever heard of the game Runescape, Jagex just won a big court case and lawsuit againts the makers of the iBot software. I think there was an undisclosed sum of money in the settlement and that iBot's makers had to release informaton to Jagex on who used their products. Runescape had a bot busting day and no doubt banned many accounts. I urge RoM to get help if they need it and pay attention to precedents.

Its just a freaking video game people. If you have to have a Bot play for you why even bother playing. If you have to cheat to win so you can brag to your friends that you are a god of some game they have never heard of then just log out and quit and lie to them and tell them that you beat the game and killed everyone in pvp. No one will be able to prove you wrong, no one will argue, no one will care.

I was banned from another forum for posting about a guild that cheated in SW. I am quite certain I will be banned from this forum too.

Funny how a GM or forum mod can edit my post but can't log on and stop the Bots! It would have taken about the same amount of time. What is so wrong about reporting cheaters by name? If we the honest gamers cannot police the game at all via word of mouth then what chance does anyone have? Your forum rules seem to be protecting offenders.
