Item Shop COD Please.

Stop letting your paying customers get ripped off. You can say "Frogster/RW doesnt promote selling of diamonds via gifting", in that case, remove the gifting option. The bottom line is that the people that have been around awhile arent going to get scammed, we know who to trust to buy/sell to. Its the new players who get scammed, and then why would they stick around to give you more money? Just a thought.

The current system is fine, and no paying player should ever get ripped off, if you're selling diamonds you get the gold first and then gift the item. If they don't want to send gold first you move on to the next buyer. Now if your buying diamonds click shift and their name see their level and their guild and use caution. If they are level 30 with no guild walk away. There no need to reinvent the wheel. Its all good.

i dont send gold first AND most people dont either, problems with them sending the wrong item to me afterward once happened. and i do not trust most of the people who want gold first and then send the item. (unless i know them)
and yet most people send me item first and i send them gold after, works out fine, i save them as safe sellers and everyones happy. unless its above like 4mill sale, then i send half first, they send item, i send the rest. -> everyones happy.

to be technical, when u send someone a "gift", it is just that. a "gift". should they send u anything in return that would be considered a "donation" witch is subject to how generous they feel in lieu of the "gift" you sent them. legal jargon for 500 alex.

Then please keep the gift option for people to send free gifts but also add a cod option for people who would like to receive gold for their RL $$.

Uhhh... I'm not going to send you RL money before I get a virtual item unless we have history... period.

Yeah uh-huh sure the majority, majority of naive people who are asking to get ripped off. Sorry but on Artemis you get the gold first unless you know the person. Otherwise you're asking to be ripped off.

I believe the method of "gifting" was originally intended to send to your alt characters without purchasing diamonds on all the characters you may have. And on ocassion send a friend a gift. I don't think they intended for us to use how its being use now. Diamonds were on AH.

The problem is (if you read the op), not the people who have been around awhile, but the new players. Do new players read forums? Not usually. Do they think that Frogster has their back when making these transactions? Most certainly. This issue has been around a very long time. I don't see the logic in allowing "gifting" but not supporting it fully. Just add a cod and scamming is done. Which (im no expert on the issue) would increase the amount of diamond buyers, and also protecting their RL money. I know if i got scammed and then learned that Frogster basically doesnt care, I wouldnt stick around. I however believe in RL money > In game money, so it's never personally been a problem for me. However too many people are naive/trusting when they shouldnt be.

Well the brutal fact is this, if you get scammed during a sale Frogster is not going to help, that is their official policy, its not gonna change, so buyer and seller beware, if you're a diamond seller operate getting the gold first, if you're a buyer check the level and guild, ask around.

They are not going to make the system any easier for the F2P, they want you to buy diamonds from them. Not sure why this comes up over and over, diamonds won't ever be in the AH cause fraud. So you really really want diamonds then pony up some cash.

On Artemis the unspoken rule is that you always get gold first before gifting. This system works fine and does not need changing. Period.

If your server isn't like this (gold first, gift second), then you are either on Grimdal or Indigo (PVP server, everyone chose it because they have the urge to kill others hence are slight more evil and by that logic more capable of committing a crime or fraud or scam) and it is time that you move to a more peaceful PVE server...

Trust is earned not given. I ahve a trusted buyer base that I ahve even given them some time to pay for the items if they did not have the gold when they wanted something from the CS. I will not do that for everyone but a select few that I trust completely. Also I do not ask for gold in advance but I do expect to get paid or i will let the community know avbput someone who did not pay me (I know most of the diamond sellers on Reni and let them know of trusted buyers).
Again it all comes down to trust.

I seldom go more than a day without seeing "XXXXXXXX is a scammer don't buy/sell to them" messages in world.
I think a COD option in the cash shop would be a very smart move on Frogster's part.

I know the whole issue has been beat to death, but diamonds on the AH was the absolute best way it could work. If you didn't pay gold, you didn't get diamonds, plain and simple.

The option to COD item shop purchases would go a long ways towards restoring confidence to diamond buyers who are the people that actually support the game. When diamonds were on ah, it was normal for me to pick up a $20 card or two every week, since they're off the AH, I currently pick up a $10 card or two every 3-4 weeks. so, just from me alone revenue has dropped from a minimum of $60 to a maximum of $20, most often $10. In my case it's simply because there is no longer a reliable way to convert diamonds directly into gold.

Give us a COD option so diamond selling is once again reliable, and I'd bet revenue would go back up.

Diamonds were taken out of the AH due too the gold sellers. Everyone wishes they would stick them back in there but it has been stated by Frogster that it will not happen. I can agree on a CoD option though for the Item Shop. It would make life easier but it may cause problems if the buyer doesn't want the item and sends it back.

Well i think gifting is fine just use some sence before you just gift to anyone ,also removing gifting would kill this game and also Diamonds used to be on the AH as was gold oh how i miss those days "sniff" Oo

Wrong, according to several Official Frogster employee statements about 2.5* years ago, and by another Official Frogster employee statement about a month back. The original statements were using Credit Card fraud as the reason, but the recent statement was that Diamonds were still not back in the AH is due to an AH exploit that has still not been fixed. The post about the AH exploit stayed for a couple days before another CM noticed it and removed it (maybe due to Frogster's notice of the discussion on the hacker forums which referenced that CM's statement).

*edit: not 1.5 but 2.5 years ago. "math is hard"

Being able to gift COD would be the best way to go:

No one gets ripped off
No more QQ'ing about the player doing it
No way for players to lose their gold
No trust issue since COD
NO MORE TICKETS TO SUPPORT for that reason, less work load for you guys ;-)

But one problem remaining would remain :

What if that player doesn'T pick up the COD ? would item be returned or diamonds put back in his bank?

I think this would deserve a good look

Trying to be constructive ;-)
