Benefits for Paying Players

I want to suggest an addition of a "VIP" channel or status that gives benefits to players who spend REAL cash on the game. I have spent quite a few on this game and I am sure that there are others who have spent on this game and would like there to be there to be more benefits for paying customers. I suggest that there be a VIP channel or Status that players who have bought a certain amount of dias ( I.E. 20$, etc.) can join and gain benefits of XP/TP boosts, or something of that nature. Many other games have VIP statuses such as Age of Conan or Lotro, and others even give more benefits as players spend more such as Combat Arms. Of course what I propose wouldn't take away features from F2P players as the other previously named games do, but would rather add a VIP channel/Status to those paying players. That way, F2P would not be losing anything but would have an incentive to purchase dias. I am sure that many paying players would enjoy leveling faster or spending less time farming for TP. Any benefit for paying players would be great, this is just a suggestion. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated no matter how troll it may be.

Not sure would do much. A special channel i can almost bet you would be useless. Unless you just want a hang out chat to feel better about paying money. No one would really talk in it.

With the XP or TP boost, sure but it will they add something like that? we already can use runes and + wings for more XP/TP. We also can put stuff in our house that we have to buy with diamonds to gain more boosts.

So many boosts i can't see it being added but heck, does not hurt me. Takes very short time to lvl when 2x xp hits.

Well, I think this would cause many players to ragequit. Although paying players should be rewarded, there have already been complaints that this game is Pay to Win, where what instance you can run and how strong you are depends on how much you pay.

Also, this would take away frogster's business of selling XP/TP potions in the Item Shop.

Also, I'm not completely sure I understand the idea of such a channel, since it seems to resemble World Chat, which can only be accessed via Megaphones in the Item Shop.

I meant it as a channel where people could join, Such as changing channel from 1 to 2 in Varanas. You are right on the XP/TP potion boosts and as for people raging, I guess would be a problem even if F2P is losing nothing

I can see them adding something extra for those who spend a fair bit of $ on this game, however- it would have to be based on what was spent per package. Someone who spends $10.00, imho, should not receive exactly the same benefits as someone who spends $100.00 or more.

Perhaps the most popular items (grand golden repair hammers, daily reset tickets, purification stones, attribute purifiers, high tier runes, etc.) could be given out in specific amounts as a thank you to players who select one of the top two packages for purchase. Much in the same way Zeevex rewards its paying customers with an item.

It's hard enoguh to play being f2p but players who get rewardswho play is kinda.. bleh. In a way it's a good idea but coming from someone who is f2p... who can barley afford (gold wise) to keep gearing up at all b/c i don't have enoguh gold to buy puries.

In a way it's a good idea, sure, like zeevex offers the adv. pacs, but then again its unfair and makes the game look like p2w.

Angel, its an option to pay. I'm simply suggesting for some bonuses for those who do pay, just @like zeevex does. Plus it is not as if I was hoping for 30% stat boost off of it, just a small XP/to boost or any other form of benefit that rewards paying players in a small way. Also it isn't going to change anything for f2p, if they want to purchase something then great... they can get a benefit from buying.

lol and where is your logic? if everyone was f2p u would have nothing.the people that pay should be rewarded end of story.if you dont like it im sure there is other f2p games you could enjoy.life in general goes in favour of those that pay so...........my suggestion is small and wouldnt affect f2p players at all, other than maybe you couldnt get those particular aggs.and zeevex already rewards players that use their service.

This is a sore topic for most every F2P player that roams the forums, so good luck.

Also, if they want to add incentive to spend money they should create a working game that doesn't cost so much.

This is a great idea, i think though it should be something that doesnt push F2P players away.

Here is an idea i think would work. A discount on every item in the Cash shop. Let the chart look like:

0-100.00 spent- 3% discount
100.0-200.0 spent 5% discount
etc etc.

This would be as per the life of the account, and would apply to ALL item shop items. Rubies, p tokens, diamonds, special sales. F2P characters would not be affected by this at all. Actually it would push them to find people that DO spend money on the game to buy from cause they would know they get a discount and therefore COULD pay less. Alternately it will benefit those paying for the game and give people another reason to maybe spend some here and there. After all if i got a 10% discount when gifting items that could mean a 10% discount to who is buying ;)

Win for paying players

You don't think that being able to run content that is beyond the grasp of the "average" player, and completely dominating them in PvP events, isn't compensation enough for paying? I mean, you basically just "bought" godmode in a game designed around competition... what more could you possibly ask for?

The F2P rage would be endless, it would be like an episode of south park on the forums. But yeah this is the only game that punishes it Paying players by increasing CS prices. Were gouged to no end to make up for the fact the original f2p game model has little to no incentives to make people buy diamonds.

I will never understand how people can say "sure I play RoM 30 hours a week, but screw them this game sucks I'm not giving them money" then I just look with amazement and wonder what these people actually pay for in life. Once people ride the welfare train they feel entitled to stay there. That's right I called F2P welfare recipients, they are so entitled they have little videos to justify their existence. I call the F2P the problem!

Its not the P2P who need rewards, its the F2P who need to lose something.

Flame on!

^this. I have been playing for only about a year and a half. first year was totally f2p. this year I have bought dias regularly. not a small fortune as some have. myself and a lot of others, i run with a lot of f2p, are still working our way through rt and wa. will be a long time before we even venture into grafu, sardo, tosh, hell, even kt is out of reach atm. so, theres ur vip. those who can run these upper instances, benefit by being able to sell gear noone else can get for insanely stupid amounts of gold.

I wish the end game gear even sold for as much as it does on other servers =(

Even as partially paying customer (bought dias from time to time) I still would not like this 'discount' for paying customers. IMHO, we all should benefit with adjusted prices in AH, better support and more gifts from Frog.

I'm glad Frog's sales/marketing are not responsible for daily consumables such as bread or milk, because people would starve and someone would throw tons of product in dumpsters....

I posted link with 12 things to do to keep customers happy on other thread, I really think that frog's employees should read that.

I spent a pretty massive amount of money on this game when I played, and even I think this would be unfair. If it was a discount sort of perk in the CS, sure, that would be awesome--the CS is horridly expensive to begin with. But giving paying players even more bonuses for the game itself...lulzno. RoM already takes P2W to the extreme.

So what you're all saying is the people who pay and keep this game running should have no perks? But you all don't want to lose anything and if paying players get perks you deserve them too? All f2p deserve nothing, "oh but ebil, you need our presence on the server, and we spend our time instead of money" well your time is pretty much useless to me and Frogster. But they won't tell you that, in fact they don't say "Oh you poor poor F2P, no please don't spend your money, we don't need it, well manage till EOL."

What is the end result kiddies? Yup higher CS prices because we P2P are taxed for your freeloading. Someone actually does have to pay for them to look at your tickets, bandwidth, electricity, cost of sales, ECT... but I'm betting alot of you still live with mom and dad. Otherwise you would understand EVERYTHING costs someone money.

Frogster no perks for the P2P please, the F2P said its not fair to them! Forward that memo.

I'll have to agree with Ebilone on this one. People who actually pay money keep this game going and should get a bit extra. Doesnt have to be anything too spectacular. Maybe a gasha that gives you random puri pack or plusing jewels or a mount only obtainable by buying diamonds, or wings, or armor aggs/weapon aggs, or all of the above. Base it on amount spent. Every $10 gets you a gasha, or 6 gashas for 50 or 20 gashas for 100, or whatever. As much as you f2p players think you are "needed", this game only exists because of the paying players. RW and Frogster are not non-profit organizations. If everyone went f2p it'd be shut down pretty fast.
