Not mine... My birthday is in November and my ROM birthday in September. But I didnt get any present then. I got gypped! I demand restitution! Go ahead, ROM, restitute me!

hmmmmm this would be about right for the last 6 months.

How many of the people unhappy with this year's anniversary events thus far are biased by last year's events? I know I am. But there are a few things to consider:

1. The actual anniversary is still 1 week away, 16 March. I think the sweet deals last year reached the apex on their anniversary date.

2. The deals may have been sweeter because of the player/developer laison we had: Swag.

3. The deals may be leveling off as the game reaches some sort of sustainable operations where the game owners/operators are managing expectations in a way that meets their business goals.

There are probably some other logical assumptions that could be made here but I got shtuff to do. The bottom line is a great deal of customers see the deals and just aren't impressed. I know a lot of people are sitting back and waiting/hoping for another big deal like last year.

And @ vwwiffo: Really? I wrote a paragraph but I'm sure it would get this deleted... So, nevermind.

@anyone else... Is there a way to block certain users post? Some folks here have never posted anything I didn't already know and are generally unhelpful, usually. There just seems to be a narrow few that are only out to troll. Some sort of management similar to what is in-game would really be nice in these forums to starve the trolls.

Actually Eb has a point here, without the dedication of it's player base the game never would have made it this far. Some older players (like Eb) may feel their loyalty to the game as being besmirched by Frogster when birthday celebrations come around and the only sign of "celebration" by Frogster is an obvious cash grab. I don't think he's asking for every player to be given something epic just for logging in, but that the celebrations include fun things that don't require purchases from the Item shop for the players to participate.

It might be RoM's birthday, but it's the players that have provided the means for RoM to reach that birthday, something that in the very least should be recognized if not rewarded.

I'm pretty sure the anniversary is on the 18th (could be wrong about that). Anyways, I'm not expecting any "celebrations" to happen until next weekend.

I have to say that I agree with Eb here. The celebrations should be about celebrating, not sales.

At least not only sales, everyone does like cheap stuff.

I have to say this was one of the things I just couldn't get about your complaints about the Christmas sales - that for some reason as this was the most major holiday of the year that there must be equally good sales. I don't see the necessity of joining price reduction and celebrating.

Still I think there is a danger of expecting too much from events - at every opportunity people seem to want 1000% XP and 10,000% extra diamonds, and if they get it, then they'll want more next time.

Still I hope there will be a lot of fun stuff coming - even stuff like new costumes would be great with the new magic wardrobe. And everyone loves pets, though I bet everyone will complain if you get more non-stackable frogs...

Edit: though of course it is still early days, lot of stuff can still happen

This is what I'm waiting to see actually. I have yet to hear any thing on the subject of Frogster re-newing the contract with Runewaker.

The "Happy Hour sales" would be the going away gift to Frogster.....LMAO!
