Both my accounts are suspended, sent an email to support@frogster-online.com. Hope that starts the process of restoring my accounts. And i always log in using virtual keyboard, never given account info to anyone, have latest Kaspersky AV 2012 running on both systems.

Stay logged in if you can would be my advice, if you get randomly logged out, get back in asap. If I were a 1337 h4x0r who was stealing peoples money, I would probably move on to the next account rather than have a login contest all day with a random person.

I just checked the Forum Leader list. As of right now, there are not a single Fm/GM/CM online...
I screenshoted my gold already, just in case, but will Frogster compensate the players? Because screenshots are just that - sad memories if the only thing Froggy plans on doing is say "Sorry, sux to be you bro". :(

Seeing a few of you are unable to access changing your passwords, it sure looks to me like whoever the culprit is who hacked you has now gone one step further and changed the credentials to your account.

One of you should try contacting Cisdai (forum mod in EU) , they are currently online:

Maybe they can contact whoever is needed to get this issue handled.

They got as far as the change password screen so they're fine with getting that far, the problem appears to be on the actual page for them. You get two boxes, one of which says enter your NEW password, second says re-enter your new password.

Guys, I just tried to change mine and I had to put my OLD password in the account management box at the bottom, seems the password you made when your account was created has defaulted to using your original pass for the account management password. No idea how to change that though.

I would like a bit more clarification concerning this matter that (in my opinion) seems like a bunch of you are acting overly paranoid.

You guys need to relax and calm down. As far as I know there hasn't been a compromise otherwise we would have noticed a few days ago instead of now.

If you can change your password, go ahead and do so. If you cannot and come up with an error, make sure you are using the right password.

If you cannot log into the game because you did not change your password. You need to submit a ticket.

And concerning Craiger's comment, you cannot change the credentials of the account without submitting a ticket. Changing the credentials on your support account doesn't do much. It is the game account that matters and as I just logged into my FA account @ https://account.frogster-america.com

I see nothing wrong with my account.

I beg to differ...yes you can change your main password via https://account.frogster-america.com/UserData/ (what I meant when referring to credentials)
I do it all the time.
I believe you are referring to the secondary password. That you do need support help to change.

Actually, I was referring to personal information (credentials at least to me means more then just your password) ... and I doubt they would have access to a person's e-mail as well. (Assuming the servers got compromised, which I doubt they did.)


So just to be safe, change your password if you can. Otherwise the only thing you can do is to submit a ticket.

If a GM's account being hacked isn't something to worry about then I don't know what is. No offence, but this is exactly what the other game company would reply to people, hundreds got hacked and the company just kept telling people to check their firewalls and security. Eventually it took a player to work it out and do all the work. I hope you're at least passing this on higher up the chain? to be honest I think you'd be very foolish not to.

You say that ^^^ as I watch 3 accounts hacked this morning, one of which was a guild mate, 1 hacked yesterday, and a former GM account hacked on Sunday night? How dare you!!

I understand you might be a little frustrated concerning the recent events but you also need to remember that GM's can make mistakes too.

I am not going to jump to tin-foil conclusions because it seems like it is easier to blame someone else instead of blaming the person of the account.

Sorry, but I've been down this road before, see my previous post. Not being rude but I think trying to reason with you or convince you to look into this will be fruitless. Frogster should be looking into this. If they're not, then it really goes to show how little they care about the game and their customers. I'll wait for a CM to post in this thread so hopefully someone will actually listen.

As I neither see this as a "conspiracy" nor am I conspiracy theorist being paranoid, I do happen to play regularly with one of the accounts that was hacked this morning and I, for one, see it as a MAJOR concern for ALL players of Runes of Magic. Maybe you SHOULD be jumping if you don't know what is going on and pass this up the line to someone who may.

exactly, this isnt just some minor issue, I want to see something done about it before im next <.<
