And I highly doubt with Tourney event and all you can really say this is all about the money, this is about an anniversary to celebrate and so far I got tons of nice feedback during the event on the servers. Of course we can not make everyone happy and I do take the feedback that your high(er) expectations have not been met fully enough. I am sorry that you see it that way.

Come on now even the biggest complainer will pucker up if a Gm is on. Free stuff has that affect on people, check the forums, check Facebook, people are not happy. If people complain on social media it hurts the company, so you may want to take a look there.

Let me ask you this question. Compared to last years birthday how would you compare this years to last years celebration?

Special Occasions such as The Anniversary is a WAY for you guys to redeem yourself... To "spoil" us with nice sales, specials, double diamonds or triple over long period of time for everyone to get a chance to get dias, XP/TP EVENT, etc. It has been a disappointing event this year. As good as this game is, it's not so green on the other side. Revamp your ways and be better or it will be a ghost town sooner or later. The only good news was the announcement of Chapter V and the new race coming along. For this, We thank you, Sincerely, Azimus Of Indigo

O.k. Dio, I will do constructive feedback on this for you, since everything is not in black & white.

1) Last year's birthday was an amazing celebration, and it FELT special. Yes, there was the diamond fiasco, but having 500% xp/tp really felt like a gift for the players. There is absolutely NOTHING about this year's birthday that feels special at all.

2) Diamond sales. 200% diamonds is nice, I will be the first to admit; the only problem with that is that the sales only last 1 hour mostly, even the sale for today is only 4 hours. 4 hours. Why not make a sale last all weekend anymore? What was the problem with the logic that oh, maybe our players have prior plans but still want to invest in a game, let's give them the opportunity to do so.

3) An Xp event was hinted at for MONTHS. We were told to wait, an event was coming. Last year, you had 500% Xp. You could have easily did 333% Xp AND Tp and been fine, it even fit with the 3 year anniversary motif. Yet, instead of doing that, you decided to NOT listen to ANY of your players and have no Xp whatsoever. You say you "forward" this information, who do you forward it to? A spam folder? Surely, NO ONE is that disillusioned enough to think that if you have 2 entire forums begging for a Xp event that it should not happen.

4) The sales for the weekend of your big event. Gachas. Really? Because that's what everyone is happy with, we don't want exclusive mounts, or anything else that would make the weekend SPECIAL, just gachas that we could get any other weekend.

5) I'm going to be honest here, and it is not a shot at any GM/CM in particular; your communication is lacking. You went onto ONE server to vaguely discuss the hottest topic out now, what about the rest of us? Why don't you just combine every PVE server not named Artemis and combine every PVP server then we would just be done with it, you would only have 3 servers to come to.

6) The birthday events all week...are not good. You talk about how awesome the tourney is, well guess what- ONLY FULLY GEARED PEOPLE CAN WIN. This does not benefit anyone, it does not help anyone, just gives OP people a bigger E-peen than what they had before. The housing contest? To get the best furniture, you have to spend money; another slap in the face to the community, as if you don't pony up the cash, this birthday celebration is not for you.

7) Why release the information about Chapter 5 now? To draw attention from the birthday weekend that never happened?

Chapter 5 just screams cash grab, I'm sorry. There are sooo many issues to be worked out still, still so many broken class combos that need love to be worried about releasing new ones now. P/w, K/anything, the list could go forever. The release is 3 months away, sure, but honestly, the balancing that was promised for Chapter 4 isn't even half done yet; or is it? Is everything with the class combos working as intended now?

I could go on forever, but you asked for constructive feedback. I hope that whoever you forward your information to actually listens, as many people are very upset at the moment.

Have you taken a look at the player base communication here and noticed how much it is dominated by people trying to be as obnoxious and unpleasant as they can possibly be? I don't see how lack of desire to deal with people like most of the ones I see here on forums is all that surprising. You reap what you sow.

I think this is just a laughable "anniversary". It is not a shock that peope wanted an XP event it has been weeks. And even if you think we misunderstood, you could see we had been "misunderstanding" for at least a week and decided not to post anything to clear it up. You just didnt care to. You wanted to show us how little care.

I think they are pushing people to their other games, little do they know that "burn me once shame on you, burn me twice shame on me"

Dionaea, your wording in the comment above makes it sounds like there will be no XP event this weekend. I say this because one would think that the decision for one would have been made when planning the celebration week.

Hopefully it's just that your wording that makes it sound that way and you meant that we would get an announcement about an XP Event this weekend before it starts.

If not, there will be more damage to our trust levels. On another thread I laid out a defense of you considering it is not technically the weekend yet and people need to hold off on the accusations.

To be fair to the players point of view, we had reasonably high expectations based on last years event. Those expectations were reaffirmed by your comments and the Event in Australia (I know they are not under the control of Frogster International).

You indicated clearly in game and on the forums that there was an xp/tp event coming. Granted you didn't define "event".

As you know the forums on most games are like an asylum and the patients get whipped up in a frenzy. Sometimes with cause and sometimes without. To this point it does look like Frogster gave the inmates cause for frenzy. The spokespeople take the abuse one way or the other.


BTW, Europe had a 4 hour diamond sale today. We are rapidly approaching that time frame here and no mention of it on the main page.

Your are absolutely correct. Frogster and Rom are both getting what they sow. I am beginning to wonder if what a guildy told is is coorect, at teh ti e i told him no but... It may be getting time to use facebook and twitter, and not to help rom. It is sad it is coming down to it but somehow the player base needs to be listened to instead of just lip service.

As for the event, the fully geared people have no advantage in the tourney as we hand out equip depending on class and weapon wishes. We do have some rules in effect which have been adjusted after we saw some flaws in the first round of events and try to uphold the rules (no hammering, no agging,no statting, no +ing of the gear or weapons we give, no accessories or wings) and try to make this as much fun as possible but it is also a very intense event to be hosted, with need to keep track of a lot of things and none of us are perfect, although we do our best and Aetherth does a great job spotting things I miss because I am sticking my nose in the team roaster or key excel sheet again. It is by no means perfect but by learning from the event turnouts we tune it and make it better as we go. Most players are very fair and have fun with it to my impression and hopefully next time we host this it will be close to perfect (and maybe a little bit less big and long)

As for me writing "xp/tp" event, that is my bad, I am so used to using that term for any kind of these events (xp or tp, xp and tp) that I raised expectations here and did not notice it in the hurry of answering whispers or posting between two thunderstorm poweroutages hoping the post goes through. Or you could say it was a Freudian slip with me really hoping we would host one after all. For this weekend it is tp only, for future events I keep pushing to add xp events as well. And I learned my lesson to make sure to be very clear in my posts, even more then I already try to be, and not to rush them out even if that means a thunderstorm prevents me from posting. So sorry if this has lead to any confusion. Clearly the announcement only spoke of TP from the get-go and nothing in regards to xp was announced on the anniversary overview. I can not change the way I picked my words, so again, my apologies. Lesson learned for the future.

For coming sales please keep an eye on incoming news, I can not spoiler them anymore then seeing some of them to show up on EU side first due to timezone differences.

I am sorry if some of you feel disappointed by this year's anniversary in comparison to last year's. Of course just because something was in a certain way one time does not make it a given that it is like that all the time. There will always be variety. I liked the anniversary gashas though. I mean, I know they're gashas, but they're free . And the temperary (for most ppl) cactus pet as well. I think we just need double Xp and better sales and all will be well.

I don't personally accept the apology, you're a PR person, PR is your job and letting something like that go on for a week without commenting on it at all is just bad PR.

You know Dionaea, double XP costs you nothing, its a button you push, so you say "my bad, but to be fair Saturday were turning on double XP" see that's how you run a business and keep your own feet to the fire. Do the right thing for the people who pay your salary.


You read Facebook lately? Thats some bad press for RoM.

I really don't understand the problem the celebration isn't over yet. Other than there being no xp event yet it has been pretty good. I have gotten a lot of interesting odds and ends that were cash shop items even though they are not exactly high impact itmes and though the sales haven't been what I am looking for yet I realize there is still time. If somehow they could insure that everyone got at least 1 really good item and something was done for the people who want an xp event it would probably be a total success.
