For the next duel event...

Any possible way you guys could organize this better? As when you guys were on indigo, people were fighting with people not duel'ing on the ring of the arena, and putting the contestants into combat before the duels even began. That slows down mp/hp regen and makes it so rogues can't use their crucial abilities like stealth & premed. I had to burn my vanish before the duel even began because I wouldn't get out of combat, and was still in combat while it ticked down, so I couldn't go into hide after it... needless to say the moment vanish wore off I got shadow prisoned and killed.

Additionally, the people on the sidelines were going to PK mode, and tab targeting was effectively eliminated.

The next time, could it please be held in an environment where the "crowd" can't interfere with the duels please?

Hahahahaha.....that is funny we all know froggy doesn't even know the meaning of the word organize. As for for the crowd that is ruining the fights, well unfortunately people are rude and don't care.

That was actually a worry I had from the get-go for both PvP-Servers and was not happy with that myself. We will have to see how we can tune this event a little for PvP-oriented servers. You should have heard my screams of frustration I let go in headset (poor Aetherth ^^ ).

On PvE-Servers we did not have such a struggle and the events went rather smoothly (well, with each server a bit better as we saw the flaws in the event layout and tuned it while we went along). But it definitely needs some possible tuning for PvP-Servers.

Still hope you had a bit of a good time nonetheless.

only complaint i had was the seeming indifference a particular gm had to the event. when they said "this is taking forever" or something to that effect it let me know clearly they would rather be somewhere else. maybe skip it next time if there is such a lack of dedication to their job. it was fail imo, 5 or 6 contestants, out of the whole server? i mean really? i rushed home and hopped on to my favorite game only to get dissed? i got two words for the nonchalant gm who visited indigo tonight and i dont care to waste the keystrokes to spell it out.

Total misunderstanding on your part. ^^ If i remember right two rogues were playing hide and seek and nothing happened or maybe was it the rematch for the third time because something PKwise interfered, mah brain is fried >.<. On some servers we were like "Hey this is not hide and seek this is a duel", on others like "Did you start yet?" or emoted that one of us dozed of. It was meant to push along and show you that something is happening, we were "going with the flow" and roleplaying along ;)

We spent 2-3h on each server, and while it was a good time it was also very tense. Imagine the ton of whispers we get (and can not answer) imagine trying to keep track of cheaters, keep the crowd that waits in spirits while same time do the bureaucracy of the event, writing down who gets what key, who moves on in the tournament and who doesn't, then you get the drift ;)

Were there times today where i thought to myself:"This was a very long week"? Yeah, multitasking as described above makes your brain frazzle.
But we spent each minute on each server with lots of fun. It is up a notch on the ladder from being on forum, to be in close touch with players, something we always enjoy.

I didn't find the GMs that showed up callous, as they seemed rather patient and understanding with answering questions and listening to those participating in the event, as well as handing out the gear pieces and likewise. Even with people trying their damndest to disrupt things with spam and fireworks and whatever else you can think of. Like I said, the only thing that really made the event un-fun was the fact that the crowd could interfere with the duels.

I think the event would of been more fair, had individuals not been allowed to use pots. Makes it much more class dependent rather than who has what buffs, clean everything but class buffs off people.

There were a lot of misunderstandings on you all's part.

I observed the Osha "honor" tourny... I call it that because there was nothing honorable about the participants who used cash shop items to upgrade the gear you handed out, and did everything they could to stop rogues from going into hide.

When we informed you they were using cash shop items to upgrade their gear, you did nothing.

When we informed you they were passing off said upgraded pieces to each other in between matches, you did nothing.

As the administrators of this little event, you all had an obligation to maintain order and make sure everyone played by the rules. This was not done at all... I will just keep in mind that the rules of your future events will be "there are no rules".

...alas, I didn't partake because my expectation was precisely this... thanks for the verification that my time wasn't wasted on other pursuits.

i took part in it and it was fun on Reni, thx guys really enjoyed it. One thing is no pets means no pets, no Chiron either, it's not one opponent at that point it is 2 you faced. And to all that just stood in the arena while people fighting, nice going to mess things up. GM's said to stay out of the arena and you had morons still not listening. But you always get those so no surprise there. You guys did a great job and were way too patient with those people.

Will redo it anytime especially against Druidvolo, it was fun as hell until i hit the wrong potion to heal lol

my two cents

I was also beat by Chiron, (guild joke since Chiron, not Blunt, did the killing) and all I have to say is it hurts. But, they did say warden pets were allowed, so he played within the rules.

There were some immature players mad about either losing, or not getting in to registration, who found it necessary to spam fireworks and stand in the middle of the arena. That, and a select few who used a statted item or two (and sadly still lost) were the only problems with the event. The GMs did fine. At least on Reni.

Damn you Chiron, I was on a role to win it all >.<

Also, I think there was a conspiracy going on. As all of my guildies were pitted against one another. :( (jk on this part...kinda)
